i remember beating him without using q weapons. and my only aoe was aftershock. this is the older version. maybe I was full copper build at this point but really, you just need the right skillset.

Corpse Explosion + Aftershock

Use Corpse Explosion on him and Minions. You need to place it infront of their path because it takes time to explode. Then Immedieatly do aftershock after explosion.

What does this is make everyone take bonus 15% damage + Reduce their damage by 15%. Then use an ability like Axe AoE Swing or Spear Thrust to kill off skeletons while they are glowing green.

This summons your own skeleton army.
Also attack Nick while he is still green for bonus damage.

You can quickly kill off mobs and him in less than 30s with this strategy

I remember taking him out with a mace, armored skeleton run and so end up ahead of the pack and the mace has range to kill them without them hitting you, regular skeletons walk slowly and can be simply walked around, crossbows stand in place (within a certain distance of you) so run up and smack.
For spell I used the basic blood wave (or whatever it's called, single long range projectile) with the occasional mace Q for aoe.
took 3 tries, first I died, second I killed him but there were so many skeletons his corpse despawned before I killed them and I was too low to risk feeding on him, third try was a success
His arena has perma night and he doesn't heal so take your time
Also remember you don't need to kill him, his reward is a very important structure BUT IT CAN BE BOUGHT FROM SHADY MERCHANTS, and I think that's very good.
Now if only you could do that with study...

For a second had no clue whom the discussion was about then it clicked. The knob who summons an army then stands still to get rekt'd. I admit the first time I fought him I had troubles, but I was focused on controlling that mob of skeletons he summons. Complete waste of time. Easier to just kite them around and treat the graveyard as a target rich environment.

Reminds me of how 'impossible' I thought the ferocious bear was. In truth once you learn a v blood's gimmick, they're all rather simple. Trick then becomes to take them out using powers that aren't complete counters.

The only attack you really need to watch for is when he summons skulls. If you're too close you'll get hit by most of them which will obliterate you. Kite the skeletons and dodge through them if you get cornered. Chop at them a bit while you are circling around. I used Spirit Wolf primarily and that helped keep them in line.

He is one of the easiest bosses lol what are you on about? Kite, shoot magic, kite, shoot magic. ( Chaos volley + bone explosion ) That's really it. If this boss really giving you that much of a problem, you might wanna stop playing right now because the rest of the game is gonna make you bang your head into a wall.

He used to be so much harder than he currently is. Bone explosion wrecks him.

You can use ANY SPELL setup you want, because in the end what will win this fight is knowledge.... not gear or skills.

Learn the fight, then come back and apologize for being dramatic.
