Where is Radium? Yesterday I got 6 in South Gloomrot next to wardgate, today none?

Yesterday I could use the wardgate to South Gloomrot, Next to the yellow lake there was a small camp with a flame thrower guy and 2 gunners. I could kill them and open a chest there to get 2 Radium bars, I ended up doing it 3 times for a total of 6.
Today I been back about 20 times, and explored and killed loads more stuff up there, found a town with boss (avoided boss) robbed houses and killed smaller mobs, not a single bar of Radium dropped.
What is going on?

The only place with it listed as a common(ish) drop is the Trancendum Machine Factory. Otherwise, unlock and craft them yourself in a forge.

OK I went and did have check it out and found some, still very rare

Refined Material are somewhat rare to find. It's the Raw Material you'll find plenty of.

If you really want to farm it rather than craft it, the only reliable source will be containers. Hit villages and towns in the Gloom Rot area, even if they don't list that they can drop radium ingots, and you'll rarely find them inside of cupboards and nightstands.

Yeah I've been trying to grind radium as well. I had better luck crafting them, but it was still a grind for sure. I had to grind a bunch of glass/quartz and iron so I could make the empty canister. Then you need to go fill the empty canisters with sludge at that yellow lake (or any other sludge area i guess) as well as a decent amount of tech scrap. Its 45 tech scrap but the recipe yields 4 alloy so its not horrible.

Ok thank you. I found enough in the very far north of gloomrot. Going to maybe do the boss tomorrow to unlock being able to make it.
