Roofed stairs?

I built my second floor and put my teleporter up there, surrounded it and roofed it but the stairway that's right in the middle of my castle is still exposed to the sun and I couldn't figure out how to roof it... is it just not possible?

that shouldn't be the case. It should fully roof so long as the stairs are enclosed by walls/floors and those floors connect to walls.

I did. All of everything I can find is walled but the the stairs are still unroofed. At least I think I placed every possible wall... are you able to build one of the L shaped stairwells and get a roof over it?

Yes, you can roof all the stairs. For instance, this is mine, which is also an L stair.

Did you place a door frame at the top and bottom of the stairs?

That's not necessary, apparently.

Seems the problem I was having is that the "upper" walls weren't building, because I had to be standing on the 2nd floor to be able to build those. Got it working, though.
