official server that does not wipe
I don't mind the wipe server but having to start over from ground zero again is tedious...is there any official server that is similar to the original server that does not wipe everyone of their castle, gears, etc.?

Nope. All official servers will have periodic wipes.

well...it ruins the hard work that we put into it so I'm sure not a lot of people are going to play this game after finding out they're losing everything. I'll stick with private server but if this game is meant to be play with pvp and online multiplayer in mind not sure why everyone is crying when it's similar to Ark. you get raid, just start over, if you don't want to get rid don't stand out too much or attack others for no reason that's asking to get raid.

I heard the reason why the dev allow this popular opinion is cause people were complaining that clans that were on the server too long is too powerful and a wipe is needed so everyone starts from scratch everytime?

it don't make sense. This is not even at all popular opinion, I doubt everyone will enjoy a game that they loses progress every month

It is every 6 months. Plenty of time to play. You could always play on private servers that do not wipe.

There are a limited number of public servers.

If you seriously can't understand why that would cause clog-up on available space, or why Stunlock decided periodic wipes were genuinely a good idea in combating this (given the structure of their game isn't meant to be played consecutively/long term like Valheim), then I'm sorry we can't answer your question.

They implemented server wiping after a lot of community feedback. It's a really good feature for this style of game.

Which would be maybe once a year. That's beyond enough time.

To be clear on that they didn't wipe your save, as it's still there it's just incompatible with the current version of the game. That's gonna happen, and is extremely likely to happen again.

understanding that it's still in early access but hopefully the main product once it's release does not have "server wipe"

and of course save file will need to be wipe everytime there's new release. Just server wiping every month or 3 months if that is their decision it's going to cause a lot of player especially veteran like myself who are returning to turn to other game.

hopefully the official release will have a more stabilize server to only refresh the server resources and such like they did when they first early release V rising no point in server wiping for the weak

I don't think server wipes will ever go away until it gets to the point there is more server space than people playing.

I'm sure it's doable...Ark have limited server space and people still able to play. Same concept. Once the game is more developed I'm sure the dev will stabilize server to be able to run additional server

I see ARK coming up a lot in this thread, but a more accurate comparison would be Rust. Which also revolves around a server wipe schedule, and is proof enough that server wipes are not what make people avoid or leave a game.

This game is comparable to Ark or Conan due to the supernatural ability you have. Rust is just some random naked person trying to survive on an island. If you're talking more of how server is run I can try to understand but this game doesn't need to copy Rust concepts. I have not play Rust but Rust server wiping is their own decision and if it works it works for them. This game is unique and to say it's copying another game seems like it's inferior to other games
at least provide us server that does not wipe as well

If you don't like the wipe schedule for the official servers start running your own server.
