Can we get more uses for Gem Dust?

Now with the gloomrot update Gemdust is rather common now and substantially less useful. Previously it was good for making research and spectral dust. Now it does neither. A couple of suggestions:
creating tech parts
restoring it to scrolls craft
coinage?
new vendor takes it as payment?
Fertilizer to make plants grow faster?
Mutation suppressant?

Im just throwing things at the wall here but i gotta go throw some gem dust on the ground now, Take care vamps.

Did they remove it from the Spectral Dust recipe? I remember that being where most of mine always went.

Sure did
Spec dust is now Scourge stone + Ghost Crystal, and spec dust is now used to make dark silver.

largely one and done castle decos and iron legendary weapon repair.

Could be used in gem upgrade or gem creation too
