and just for your info.... there is more than 1 weapon and 1 skillset.... if you can't beat her then try something different (just like with every other boss).
If you already suffer at her, then have fun with Ungora The Spider Queen or Octavius
What you need to do is as soon as she stands still and forms the giant blue circle to siphon an add....she's standing completely still and only one of the adds will head towards her. Just have one of your weapon specials, something that hits a wide area, drop right on top of her as the add is about to reach her. Either the reaper or the greatsword giant swing will work. It'll obliterate the add and also deal a big chunk of damage to her. That's it. That's all you have to do. The rest is just not getting caught in her various book barrages. All of her other attacks have telegraphs that are so long that they might as well be openings for you to attack her immediately afterwards.
(By the way, don't forget to use whatever potions you need...)
Also, why in the ♥♥♥♥ is the Study now locked behind this boss, one of the final bosses in the zone? I have a chest full of research books I can't use and my gear level is below all available bosses to fight but I can't make anything new cuz no Study....
Please no. This was a fun fight that just took a couple of tries. Like a Boss in Dark Souls or World of Warcraft, you have to learn the fight. Learn what counters what, and learn the telegraphs for her moves. Equip different spells if you have too.
If you are still having trouble, make sure your gear score is the same or greater. Bring healing potions. Make sure you Feed on a decent quality blood type. All the tools are there.
If you have trouble, try her at a blood moon with 100% blood type and late game potions. Use reaper, chaos dash, chaos bold and corpse explosion. Don't be stagnant, circle around her at all times.
She is fine.
The minions are a pain but a well placed tendon swing makes them fluff off in a hurry...
Guess the great sword is also a decent way to close the gap and do a lot of dmg but for me that weapon is way to slow and clunky while not having a special for point blank crowd control like the sword&reaper do...
Btw that storm dash is smth you will likely want for the caster type enemys as it not only inflicts static on them but it also speeds up your own melee attacks considerably allowing for swift dmg dealing, both Maja&Leandra are prime candidates for short work close quarters melee...
PS:i'm just dying to nail Jade when i get some spare time to play as i'm really eager to get my hands on those awesome pistol schematics
