Connectivity issues
It's extremely annoying that while trying to play singleplayer I'm unable to do so due to not being able to connect to my own ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ server. I even started a new one and still it's not connecting. Why make a single player option if you can't even log to your own hosted game?

Experiencing the same here. Very frustrating during fights.

Are you REALLY talking about a server (running a separate instance of of the V rising server software)... or were you simply hosting a local game?
In the later case, on the log-in screen use the entry in the lower part and host it again.

Explanation: Local hosted games function like servers and are listed as such. But they are only active when hosted.. so using the upper entry, where you reconnect to a server, does not work, as the "server" (-->your game instance) is not running at that moment.

Just because it's "local" does not mean it's not a server. You don't even have to be connected to the internet for it to be a server. Weird take.

We apologize for the problems.

Are you running a "Private Game" or Joining your own LAN server?
What error message do you get?

It would be helpful if you could send an email to logs@playvrising.com with a short description of the issue and the following files attached:

-The Player.log file from the session where the issue happened (located here:` %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising` )
-The Player-server.log file from the session where the issue happened if you are the server host (located here: `%appdata%\..\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising` )
-The .dmp file generated if there was a crash (located here: `%appdata%\..\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\backtrace\crashpad\reports` )

Thats what i was saying.. the game ALWAYS needs a server.
If you host a local game, your game client functions as server... and is shut down the moment you close that game. Thats why you cannot reconnect to it (but have to host it again).

A "true" server runs independently of your own client. That can be an online server (such as the official ones or those you can privately rent) or a local server (using the downloadable software provided by the devs, running on a PC in your own LAN).

I'm simply hosting a local game, yes. But that means I act as my own server, and for some reason it's just giving me a "Server Error" when I attempt to connect. It's not always, though, so I can't figure out what the problem is. Sometimes I can't log at all, others it logs at the first try.

It would be really helpful if you could send us your logs after such failed attempt.

Will do, thank you for your dedication to the game.
