In the later case, on the log-in screen use the entry in the lower part and host it again.
Explanation: Local hosted games function like servers and are listed as such. But they are only active when hosted.. so using the upper entry, where you reconnect to a server, does not work, as the "server" (-->your game instance) is not running at that moment.
Just because it's "local" does not mean it's not a server. You don't even have to be connected to the internet for it to be a server. Weird take.
Are you running a "Private Game" or Joining your own LAN server?
What error message do you get?
It would be helpful if you could send an email to logs@playvrising.com with a short description of the issue and the following files attached:
-The Player.log file from the session where the issue happened (located here:` %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising` )
-The Player-server.log file from the session where the issue happened if you are the server host (located here: `%appdata%\..\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising` )
-The .dmp file generated if there was a crash (located here: `%appdata%\..\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\backtrace\crashpad\reports` )
same here, hosting private game - LAN unchecked.
Thats what i was saying.. the game ALWAYS needs a server.
If you host a local game, your game client functions as server... and is shut down the moment you close that game. Thats why you cannot reconnect to it (but have to host it again).
A "true" server runs independently of your own client. That can be an online server (such as the official ones or those you can privately rent) or a local server (using the downloadable software provided by the devs, running on a PC in your own LAN).
It would be really helpful if you could send us your logs after such failed attempt.
Will do, thank you for your dedication to the game.
