RNG Map? Normalise PVP scaling?
I understand that the dev's have handcrafted this map to begin with but I'm hoping that you guys add a randomly generated map system to the game for community servers. The same map over and over and over and over again with no changes is kinda resident sleeper.

One other thing, can we normalise PVP scaling? Remember Battlerite? Everyone had to play better than others to win and chose talents to tailor it against your opponents and help your team. Now it's just "I have a much higher number than you, bye bye, no counter play".

Keep the power creep for PVE by all means, it's just that in PVP, I as a level 27 player can barely scratch someone who is 40, even if I outplay them to the best of my ability. I'm not complaining that gear score is a thing, I'd just much prefer it if I could outplay some high geared player and take his stuff if he plays badly. idk, I'm just venting.

I fully agree with you, I even said this on their discord/steam discussions as well I think a year ago. I suggested procedural map gen or just make a preset map pool that the admins can choose from. Preset1/2/3/4 where each has things switched around for more variety/replayability. Idk instead they added content which honestly hasn't even made me want to switch on the game and try it. It's just content.. More of my time wasted whereas they instead could've addressed like you say, at least the pvp balancing issues so it's AT LEAST a fair experience. You only seem to have 50hours, but if you keep playing you'll eventually start coming up vs some nolifers and that's where you'll really agree with me in this post I made today.. grind=win.

sure, like you say maybe just balancing out the pvp scaling would already be enough and then all this zonelocking isn't necessary as there's not that much of a gap, but I highly doubt they'll do anything about your nor my suggestion. They seem to be keen on just pumping out content and then that's it. done and dusted..

The map did get changes but I also would love random generated map system, but I don't think it is possible.

In regards to your pvp questions. This game is clearly not for you. This isn't battlerite. It's a survival game and that difference in gear often happens in these types of games. It just is what it is.

Won't change. It's what the game is designed to be.

do you understand how bad it would feel if a guy in bone armor and gear killed you when you are at top tier stuff? why even bother getting better items if you can kill anyone with garbage?

I'm not saying that it should be easy, far from it. I'm saying that a guy in a Reinforced bone set vs a guy in copper which is only lvl 27, a mere 10 levels above, should still have a chance against him. In the current state, PVP isn't about who is better, it is about who is better geared and that is my problem.

That IS possible though. I killed a gear level 35 while at GL 19 myself yesterday (yes, he was kinda bad, but so am I). The game gives you a LOT of tools to outplay people. First, I'm pretty sure the actual damage differences between weapon tiers is normalized in PvP, but not stats like extra max HP. Second, you have feints, invisibility, dodges, dashes, and parries. These are all tools that enable you to defeat opponents who may have flat advantages (like a bunch of extra crit chance or HP or whatever, though that isn't available at lvl 27 like in your example).

Also, personally, I love the hand-built map. It beats anything proc gen out of the water in terms of quality, and that includes SO much more than just visuals. I think what would help people see the PvP w/ reset game loop better would be a definitive way to "win" a server wipe - some custom servers used the soul shards like that in the past, which is fun.
