The game won't start

The game won't start after the update...
My config is between recommended and minimal so it's supposed to work.
I have uninstalled & reinstalled the game but it didn't change anything.
Apparently I'm not the only one, please V Rising staff, help ! I have 500 hours on this game, I want to play it so badly :(

Game crashing on character creation screen.
Checked files 2 times. full reinstall. drivers. nothing help.

just rename file lib_burst_generated.dll to lib_burst_generated.dll.backup in the \SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\VRising\VRising_Data\Plugins\x86_64 folder is what i did and it works fine now

Same problem here, my GF was stucking at prewarming shaders at First but right now isnt even able to go past the First loading screen, we tried to do that DLL thing but didint worked

Hello, if you got BepInEx in your folder for the free camera mod, remove it or rename with any tag before to inactivate it (like # for ex)

I don't have any mod on the game sadly.

I have updated my Windows (10 btw) with last version but that didn't help either. I have ran out of ideas...

I must clarify something, when I say the game "won't start", it actually starts (I mean the window opens) but it instantly freezes with Not Responding screen.
Launching the game as administrator (just in case?) didn't help.

Well actually I have same problem, tried to do everything from repair data, uninstall and reinstall, update drivers, do that DLL thing, swap GPU with a Better One. Nothing works.

I asked for help on official discord server and even tried contact SLS support. Nothing to do

i fixed the problem with the shaders by uninstalling and reinstalling the video card drivers.

Hey, after searching and trying different things for a while, I finally found a solution, at least for myself. Here is what worked for me :
- Cleared all Steam caches ('Steam>Settings>Downloads>Clear cache' and also in 'Settings>Navigator'), including Steam's files ('\Program Files (x86)\Steam\appcache').
- Moved the game on the disk where Windows is installed ('Game Settings>Move install folder...').
- Go to local files > Right-click on VRising.exe > Properties > Compatibility settings > Run compatibility troubleshooter... let Windows use its recommended settings, and let it run.
And the game finally started.
- I disabled fullscreen optimizations, but I don't think it's necessary..
The naming may be incorrect as my Steam client isn't in english so it's an approximative translation.

Something may temporary solve this problem too :
- Run the game once (don't close it !)
- Run the game twice (Go to local files > run VRising.exe) and close the first iteration.
As weird as it seems I've seen that 2 iterations can make a game run. Works for me!
