Optimization issues
There is no way after a year of this game being out, that this game is still struggling on performance. Graphics settings make zero difference, you get the same fps and then it just gets worse and chugs at like 40 fps. Restart the game, now it's 80 in the same area in your base. Everything is updated, I use a 2080ti, 12900k, 32gb ram atm like what is wrong with this game. I feel like I should be getting more and something consistent.
At least my gpu isn't overheating like others from what I'm seeing.

You should avoid Early Access games then if this is a major issue. Optimization and balance in game development doesn't happen on a major scale until gold or beta of the game. This is new content there is going to be major bugs and issues, even games that have huge teams and aren't in alpha have performance and bug issues with major content. When I think about it you should avoid new releases of content and Early Access games if these things are a big issue for you.

Before this patch the game ran just fine on my incredibly dated machine.... now however, on a LAN server I am getting lag?????

I9 9900k@5.7ghz / RX 7900 XT / Windows 11 / 32 Gb @ 3600 hz.
Before update: 60~90fps
Now: 100~120fps
My resolution: 1600p

For it looks ok. Never use 100% of my gpu but no problem.
Also I have resize bar enabled and some windows ans cpu manual changes.

Major patch with tons of new systems why would you think it would stay the same? its EA! why not come back when its finished instead of these insane complaints that make no sense when playing an early access game that just released major content? They will address it but it takes time kinda how development works when making games...
i can confirm, after a while my FPS drop to 49 and stay there no matter what i change in the settings!! this is frustrating..

I was having crazy fps issues, then just deleted and reinstalled the whole game and now everything is perfect again

Listing your specs without providing any insight as to your actual system usage is pretty useless.

MIGHT have found a fix. right click your Vrising in task manager hit 'go to details', then properties. and disable full screen optimizations, run as admin. so far so good.

My dude this game is a year old. Early Access is an excuse.

I noticed this as well, needed to delete the local data settings file as well. They still have your "v1" settings from before gloomrot sitting in there on top of your now "v2" settings. Still the game hardly is using my gpu and cpu and there is clearly a massive memory leak.
