6 Month Resets!?

What is the point to playing if I lose EVERYTHING every 6 months?

So PUBLIC servers can get new players when olders go and that everybody begin anew and fair. If you don't like that, host your own private server (you don't need to pay anything) and play with a ruleset that will allow you (and your friends) to go faster than on public so you can go back to what you had.

Resets allow for players to make attempts at areas they wanted but couldn't get, it also will help with keeping the server from just being owned by one person who crushes everyone else and runs them off, etc. Plus 6 months is an incredibly long time as you can do everything in like a week if you wanted. 6 months is more then enough

It was a big annoyance when there wasn't a reset, and people would log in just to feed the heart meter.

It might discourage the people who were not playing in the first case, but just jumping in and feeding the heart meter for a week; JUST IN CASE THEY MIGHT.. Most annoying..

The 6 month pve server resets are absolutely insane. Castle decay takes care of people that stop playing and the 6 month wipes are such a slap in the face for those of us that can not dedicate our lives to this game. I just can't understand it. I also get tired of this game being called a survival game because frankly it is not a survival game. You have very limited survival mechanics starting out that quickly become irrelevant. Most enemies supply blood and you avoid the sunlight. I have no desire to play on a private game devoid of people or start my own server and going on a non-official server means your character could be deleted at any point. With all official pve servers having 6 month wipes I just don't see a point in even trying to play this game anymore.

I had a Private game running and it too was reset. If the update is going to be incompatible with what my group had going on, I would prefer to have the option to play our game instance with the understanding that it would be stuck in legacy.

Bro what, 6 months is soo long. The pve can be finished in a week. It should wipe much quicker imo.

they should have a choice of 6 mths or a year for PvE. i know they have 1 month or 3 mth on the PvP ones (official servers).
They did make it much easier for a player to take control of whole area's now.

Why is there so much ignorance in this community when it comes to Early Access?

First off almost ALL EA games when adding new content especially major updates require starting over. If starting over every couple months is an issue? don't buy EA games as it been part of the process for decade if not longer. One guy was complaining about a server he rented for a month not keeping his data for 6 months when he came back.

Its a Early Access if they drop another major patch in 2 months things will be reset, why buy EA games if this bothers you?

Just play on a server with the rules you want then, jesus what a pointless thing to whine about
