Friends can't join private game after update?

Before the update I didn't have any issue having friends join my private games. After the update I created a new world, but they can't seem to connect to me even through the Steam Overlay. They just get "server not responding" in the steam overlay window that pops up. I have the 'Allow friends to join through Steam' option ticked in the options. I don't even have the option to invite them directly through the Steam overlay, and I'm pretty sure that was possible before.

Anyone else having this issue?

Same issue. I cannot get anyone to join my game.
We're even visible to each other through the steam overlay but any attempt to join ends in "server not responding".

Bumping this. I've got this problem with a buddy of mine. Weird part is that he can connect to me just fine, but I can't connect to him.

I'm having the exact same issue.
I even reinstalled the game twice just to make sure no conflicting data is left from before the update.
- Also set everything in firewall in case there was something blocking it
- Opened up ports 9876 & 9877 as some suggested during my google search but nothing changed
- Oh yeah and ofc i deactivated my Antivirus program just in case...with equally disappointing results
