V Rising Dedicated/Lan Server Not Showing FIX

This maybe one fix of many but this is how I resolved my server not showing up and not being able to connect to it.

I was able to fix my server thanks to the help here.

First Locate your config file, Mine needed to be in

c:\users\username\appdata\locallow\stunlock studios\vrisingserver\settings\

Make sure the ServerHostSettings.json file contains

"ListOnMasterServer": true,

"ListOnSteam": true,

My file was completely missing the list on steam.

I also changed my ports to 27015 and 27016. Works perfect and no lag. (quick test only).

Not working for me either. Just copied my save file so I can run it locally, but I was running the server on a low power laptop so that my minions can complete their missions 24/7 without costing me a fortune in electricity. Hope they fix this soon.

I recommend you start over if you havent gotten your servers up and running yet, This is the easiest way to get a server working

Same here... added those lines in vrisingserver\settings\ServerHostSettings.json, but it does not show up.
The server itself is working fine, as i can connect via direct connect using the IP of my machine running the server. It's just the shortcut that is missing. Any ideas?

In my case its working using direct connect and IP adress of the server, did you try that?

Heyo, my server shows up and all that but i get everytime an error connection timeout , can someone help me with that?

Thanks to OP I finally got my dedicated server working! The tricks seem to be adding ListOnMasterServer and setting ListOnSteam to true. The former is missing in the default ServerHostSettings.json file.
