Can't build outside your territory anymore?
Hello,

so it is truth? I can't build NOTHING outside my territory anymore? I'm restricted to the small territory areas / castle areas from the map? If I have two territory side by side and I want to link them: There is no way? No garden anymore? Only in the restricted area of my territory?

Please tell me that I missed the possibilty to deactivate "this" in the server options? :ShockedOwlcat:

I'm a builder and PvE player. I play with a multigaming guild. Two of us have borrowed two server for some months. We make arrangements in our forum, we don't need limitations like this. Now the game have lost A LOT, A LOT of his attraction for me.
It was sutch an incredible feature to build large castles with wonderful, beautiful garden and to find options to keep somehow the nature enviroment, in your personal garden. They have taken this feature completly away from the game .... :franbow:

One more sandbox-like game falling into the commun trap of prioritizing pvp and multiplayer, when the majority of their player base plays pve and mostly SP.

One more game I'm about to forget...
Yeah this doesn't bode well for future development.
If they're going to prioritize PVP over PVE in such a way as to put artificial limits like this I wonder what more they'll do in the future.

No, not PVP as it was pointed out to me^^

You mean Online-Play :-P

Yeah its really a shame, without an Update ive revisited the Game a lot of Times and had my Fun with it, but to be THIS disappointed after Months, that i doesn't even have an interest anymore to even see the new Territory... oh man
When mousing over regions you'll now get a highlight for what a castle can claim. This is to primarily compensate for the multi-floor mechanics and PVP/PVE grief of other players maliciously walling off bits of the world that could only be bypassed by late-game shapeshift.

You can still make gardens in your turf. Nothing changed about that other than you have fixed-space plots instead of trying to squeeze pixels out of the former plots.

As a builder you are a second-class person in V Rising ... this is the bitter truth .... I'm so angry that I bought the new Cosmetic DLC BEFORE playing the new DLC .... :franbow:

Yeah because adding entire several floors, short range teleports, aesthetic additions, dyeabe objects, and more land to the world is basically the developers calling you worthless.
I'm also disappointed that you can't connect two territories to get a larger one. I can only place 2-5 castle hearts based on settings - if I want to spend 2 castle hearts to get territories right next to each other, I should be able to combine them into a larger castle.

Courtyards and gardens are entirely a thing of the past. I'm disappointed that the vertical building (which I was super excited about) is not adding to building options, but replacing them. You HAVE to build up to fit rooms in, and you can't have big sweeping anesthetics - even the open staircase from the update ads isn't really something you can build while still having a functional castle, because the open space needs to be filled in to have enough functional space.

I really hope future updates will restore the ability for a larger territory, for friends to be able to combine territories, to build a large connected clan castle, to claim all your territories in one spot and combine so we can have gardens and courtyards again.

The appeal of this game to me was building a huge castle in a large area, and I find baffling that the devs didnt make a server option to allow us to connect areas next to each other, one of the features that players have requested for ages.

These devs are completely out of touch. I dont have any motivation to even check the new things in the update anymore.

Castles can have multiple stories now. Build the majority of your castle on the second floor and above and use the ground floor for a garden.

Its still an unecessary restriction tbh
Tell that to those who got harassed by dirt bags on the daily they are the reason this restriction happened

I always find the "devs are out of touch" line funny. Usually it's from people demanding a change or addition that would affect maybe 1% of the playerbase. If the devs were out of touch, they'd get what they want because they're the ones out of touch.
Didn't see the problem. For what I see construct only your space is the right think.

They didnt just give new things, they also took some away. Not hard to recognize.
I'm also a single-player builder. I understand why the new system is as improvement for the public server experience. It seems like it should be simple to provide a workaround.

Most of the building areas previously had higher and lower spaces. I liked to have thrones, librarys, etc. on the higher ground and workshops and gardens on the lower ground. Now my space is split into multiple territories. The solution seems close:

I can place two hearts -- one on each tier.
I can build stairs on the bottom tier that will come up even with the top tier.
I now have two castles which just one or two tiles away from each other
*All I need is a bridge item to connect the territories* This item could be toggled off in server settings.

Single-players are happy. Multi-players are happy. One single item and one single setting.

They took some things away because a bunch of people basically did the equivalent of pissing all over it so it was taken away.

There's other ways around it than to be super restrictive.
And still it could always be a server option.
>restrict castles to territories (Yes or No)
Fixed

And then they'd have to deal with griefers making servers and luring people in to grief. What's YOUR solution to ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?
