The Camera Mod

I wonder what the devs think of the camera mod? I'd be curious if they'd ever consider some kind of official support or implementation. The game seems totally fine with a real 3rd person (and even first person) camera.

It might actually open up the game to a wider audience. I know for a fact I have a couple friends I've try to get to play V Rising and the response is always the same "Oh it's top down? I don't play those kinds of games"... Definitely a bit narrow minded, but they can't be the only ones out there with the same response.

I am fine with top-down, but I would like if I could aim and rotate the camera at the same time, like having the right mouse button constantly pressed.

The game runs like a turd on fire as it is, but i'm 99% sure the de-rendering technique they use is fog which means it wouldn't significantly change performance.

This is a thing that is probably best left to mods and modders who want it for their private/single-player servers.

I play Valheim, which has 3rd person by default and 100x the assets in lighting and textures, and I play it on my notebook on 100% everything high, and it's gorgeous. my notebook is a 6 core with a mobile GPU (GT 1650 4GB ram). SO yeah. your opinion isn't exactly accurate. :) Cheers.

You clearly have zero idea what you're talking about. You can't compare two completely different games like that, and Valheim does not have 100x the assets or lightning or textures. It has worse lighting and lower resolution textures and is overall much less demanding graphically.

You are my hero, i just started to play this game and was looking for mods. Then i saw videos of this mod and could not sleep till i had it working in the game. Thanks to you i now have it and it works like a charm. Its unbelieveable, as if its actually part of the game from the very beginning and so immersive, thank you ;-)
