my hero
Typically multiple platform comes after the game is fully released and this is in Early Access. Complaining that a smaller studio is not catering to the lessers (console & controller players) is quite childish and self centered. Adding more planned great content to the game far outweighs the minority group of players who wish to play with a controller before the game is completed and the company is ready to explore releasing on other platforms. Controller support should always be a last project for games, as it almost always is. Development Process 101
Also you haven't even played the game at all, so why are you even complaining about anything. See how it feels on the keyboard and mouse and stay off the forums until you are a proper member of the community.
Firstly, it makes sense to design it with controller in mind so the transition is easier later on.
Second, "childish and self centered"? Calm the F down. I'm entitled to my opinion and mine is that I think this game screams for controller support.
Thirdly--- you don't get to tell me to stay off the forums. Take your high and mighty head out of your backside and learn to speak to people respectfully.
Firstly, that's completely against the development process for any PC game. Now if the company is a AAA company or a company who has made games that they already have controller support, then maybe you can have some expectations for controller support. But it is extremely unrealistic to expect that in this case.
Secondly, You are right, you are entitled to your opinion, but I am as well and my opinion is that you are behaving very childishly and expecting everyone to cater to your desires in a game...that you haven't even played.
Thirdly, I do get to say you have absolutely no right to troll the forums on a game that you have not played. 1 min in the game at the time you were complaining about it and failing to read the comments above yours to see that you can actually play with a controller, even without an official support for the controller means you are intent on just complaining and not being a productive member of the community. Being that way is actually against the Steam's Code of Conduct for the forums. So I have that to back up my comment.
It is rare for a company that hasn't had prior experience with controller supported games developed to have it anywhere but the bottom of the list of things to add for a PC game. I know developers who have done controller support on other games while developing a new one do, sometimes, add it in early on. Which was the point I was making to the other guy who failed to even read the comments before his that the controller may not be officially supported but it is still usable for the game. They kind of rubbed me the wrong way when they had 1 min total play time on the game and complaining on the forums.
Yet you can play with a controller and ignore that fact. Even when I pointed that fact out to you. You are now pressing the issue and definitely just being a problematic person just to be a problematic person. Man up, and understand that you made a mistake. You seriously should never complain about a game that you haven't played at all, PERIOD. You may own the game, but you haven't played the game. Review the Code of Conduct for the Steam Forums. Ignorance to the rules is not a defense for breaking the rules. Your behavior is certainly breaking them.
How dare anyone give feed back on wanting controller support in a game! *clears throat* Native controller support. ;)
How childish!

(I dare... i'm very rude and bad person)
Not true. Age of Empires II being a good example. It was designed as a PC only game with mouse & keyboard controls and stayed that way for years. And yet here we are in 2023, it's on console with full controller support.
As for V Rising, the developers were very explicit that this is a PC only game designed for mouse & keyboard. A console version might come later on down the line and it may not. In any event, they won't even consider a console version until the PC version is done.
If you want a good example of how this game might look on console, take a look at another game that launched as PC only with m&k controls, but is now on console - Medieval Dynasty.
One thing that attracts me to V Rising is how customizable the single player PvE experience is. It's such a shame something as basic as different controls is absent.
I really want to check this game out, but I find WASD movement in action games terrible. If it controlled like a Diablo-like (click to move+attack) and/or had controller support, I'd probably already have this in my library.
