Give us the ability to change our vampire's name?

If we want to do a whole rebranding for roleplay reasons it's pretty much impossible without the ability to change our character name.

Considering all the horror stories I hear about PvP in this game, I would say task failed.

I still think it'd be worth being able to change your name for the people who like to roleplay. Maybe even have it be a server setting, if you actually think the ability to change your name would be a problem.

I remember ending up with a bunch of haters threatening offlines because I was into KOS + trolling ragers (excuse me for playing a PVP game) and because they can see where you live because your name is written on your base.
It just tries to be too many things at once.

You can do it with an HEX editor. I did for some people in my server but it require some knowledge of what you are doing to avoid corrupting the save file of the server..

I don't know that I want to risk corrupting the server, since it's a private server owned by one of my friends. :'D

Well i do have the server hosted locally on my PC, but i had a couple of people that mispelled their names and i had to edit the last server file to fix that.

It is not an hard change to do with the HEX editor but.. you NEED to know HOW to do it and WHAT you are doing.

Ofc, that would be definitely better.. also we miss a way to DELETE, other than just RENAME the vampires....

But, for now, delete is IMPOSSIBLE even with an HEX editor as you'll have to delete BITS in the save game and RECONSTRUCT the whole save structure.. that's really a lot of work and doesn't works...

On the other hand... even without an official way to rename che tharacters, you can at least RENAME the characters if you know how to use that HEX editor, like i did
