Personally I think I'm coming around to preferring this new system. It wouldn't have worked with the old single storey castles, but with the increased verticality I think it works quite well.
If you have a problem with the aesthetic issues that come with vampire castle urban congestion on your server, may I suggest you try single player, or playing on a private server with only a few frens? Wilderness as far as the eye can see.
Catacombs!!
That'd be cool, and I was honestly hoping they'd include a basement level along with the upper storey stuff in the gloomrot update.
I also second catacombs; I'd also really like the idea of an RNG dungeon entrance that you can build in your basement and raid once a day or something.
I see it very useful in public servers, but in private server, particularly in PvE one, it's just another limitation.
Yes that would be awesome.
I definitely like the advantages it brings, but I hate what it takes away.
I can't help but feel it was the laziest way they could have fixed the problems of the old system.
After playing the game 1 time anyone with a brain would figure out how to build in order not to get griefed. The change has made it even harder for newer players starting in t1 to have a chance of getting a plot.
The plot system is decent in squad servers but with solo/duo there just aren't enough plots to generate a health pop through wipe. New people can't build and just go to another server.
The devs are smart and I think will take another look at the system and plug in a decent change.
That is the devs job. They have the data and knowledge, do you really expect the fixes to be in steam forum posters?
