At least you can put it on your hotbar and quickswap it as needed
Clear some space, I guess. I find that works for me. If you're trying to run through the zone without fighting anything, you're probably gonna have a bad time once you reach your destination with a train of a dozen enemies following. You pretty much have to fight anything you aggro or you won't be able to do much, I find, when all the aggro you've been avoiding catches up to you.
The spear helped a LOT to keep pulling him back in, and then also when i'd dash to get ahead of him and then turn to face him, so he would tend to run back towards the way you just came from instead. Also clearing some of the area beforehand is helpful
There's a nice spot just north of the spider cave, lots of space. I'm seriously thinking of building a new castle there. A bit isolated but that's not really a problem anymore.
It could possibly be the largest build area on the map, or at least one of the largest.
Can't say I haven't thought about it.
So you can't just skip the annoying wanderer boss.
