It's pretty clear when you realize they're not meant as a main option to do your fighting, but more like a complimentary thing.

I really don't understand why people respond with these kinds of posts.
Edit: Oh yeah and the post above the one I replied to also has solutions. Well there we go case closed either way :D
Coming back with things that don't really suit that angle and only fit from a purely mechanical angle don't really address what the OP was talking about.
(That said, I AM glad about the Necromancer's Dagger, I'm just pointing out that "roll a legendary with spell power" isn't the same thing as "I'd like a weapon that FEELS like a spellcaster's weapon.")
nontheless, i would like to suggest that OP makes a suggestion on:

Before the Gloomrot update, the undead commander's scythe was basically a caster weapon.
Like come on, you're getting on to him for saying something that didn't really suit the angle but what you had to say also did nothing to further it for OP, it was just chastising another member, much like what I'm doing now that I think about it and I'll probably stop after this post since it'd just be harassment at that point :v
Anyways +1 for necro dagger :D As if necromancy wasn't already my favorite thing in this game.
Dagger seems neat, at least, and seems to be in that direction.
If you want a weapon that adds another spell slot so that you could use 3 spells AND your ultimate, but ALSO acts as a weapon in its own right, that... sounds broken to me. It would either have to do nearly no damage, or actually do no damage, because the utility and power and mobility provided by having an extra spell slot would more than make up for a lack of a weapon dps.
Considering how seamless weapon switching is, adding more spell slots to a caster weapon would be tantamount to giving every player of every loadout a third spell slot once they make theirs. I can see sticking a third shield in such a slot to face tank a boss's evasion phase unscathed.
