As for co-op, yes the game is great for it. Enemies and bosses will scale with the amount of players near them.
As a co-op experience it can be fun. But as it stands its a very linear experience. Bosses are solo-able using specific builds, but with a partner allows you to more play as you like without having to go for an optimal build.
Just keep in mind that there's no real challenge to the game. The build system is very bare bones and the game itself really hasn't added anything of note since initial release.
It's not a bad game... it's just one of those titles that entered early access and from all releases until now... is likely to stay there or be thrown a we've moved on to another game 1.0.
For the price of it atm, we will give it a go as an alternative to valheim.
You wont regret it. This game is a lot of fun, also for a run through or two pve. Dont listen to the guy that says there are no challenges. Some of the bosses are really tough if you're new to the game. Then throw in the sun that can kill you quickly for an extra challenge during day time.
And if you play PvP, boy....
Any recommendations what settings to tweak for a casual, sped up experience? We'll be playing a maximum of ~3 hours per week. Should we wait for the upcoming major content update in May?
Hey Heron!
We haven't started yet but I've been checking some of the game options for a private game.
You can disable castle decay in -> Private Game -> Advanced Game Settings
There is two you can modify:
Decay Rate Multiplier: "0" Stops the castle from taking damage when the heart is out of essence
and
Blood Essence Drain rate: "0" stops the castle heart from consuming essence
based on what I found in Reddit.
There is also the option "Game Settings" Which are premade settings for the game Easy/hard etc.. probably just go with the standard one and just change the castle decay to 0, so you guys can chill progressing in the game.
Hope that helps you out. Have a good time being a Vampire!
Thanks, appreciated!
