go into the game right now and tell me people play on pve servers...
you pve andies are all offline or private, and you want the devs to care about your precious pve experience when YOU DONT EVEN FILL PVE SERVERS.
As of this post:
Searched by player count, any latency, any clan size, show also merciless settings included;
Best pve server pop counts: 11/40 and 12/40
best pvp server pop counts: 27/40, 27/50 and 19/35 etc
pvp servers are way more filled then pve servers right now.
Also as of this post there are 2127(not counting pirated copies of course) people playing the game, IF YOU CARE ABOUT PVE SO MUCH WHY AREN'T YOU BOZO'S FILLING THE PVE SERVERS.
If you want the devs to give a rats ass about pve changes then actually come and fill the servers or start your own public ones.
The devs only gave you a convoluted offline method because you cried like babies for it, they basically shoved you into the cellar and threw away the key. Deal with it.
Like if you actually think about it, pve players are actually the majority as pvp players get bored easy with no updates or changes applied to the game, you pve players just spit your dummys out and cried until you were given a roundabout offline method and just abandoned the game.
You pve players not using the server space given to you is your downfall, ask yourself this if you were a dev and people said "I ONLY do pve and I want OFFLINE NOW DEVS GIVE IT NOW WHY NO OFFLINE" and then the devs say "do x, y and z and you are offline play now, have fun" do you really think you are in a position to demand anything when you willingly jump into the solo/offline cellar and refuse to come out when the devs aim is to make a ONLINE SERVER game with PVP balancing?
So maybe instead of complaining actually get to filling those pve servers with players that the devs PAY MONEY FOR
Think about it this way: If you open a huge public pool and pay rent, utilities etc to keep it running but only like max 10 - 12 people are in it and it never goes above that, you'd be running at a loss right because all that space is not being filled and you are paying money to maintain the entire thing.
So why should the devs care about pve players complaining when they don't even use the gameplay space provided that they pay for you to enjoy in.
The answer is quite simple. You lack control when you put your progress on an external server.
Here are some disadvantages to playing on a PVE server instead hosting your own private session.
- You don't have admin privilleges and other players could possibly effect your experience in negative ways even in PVE servers. This can include other players build blocking your base or taking resources you want.
- You have to pay a blood tribute as upkeep to your castle while you're offline. So if you're gone for a month your progress can be deleted.
- You don't own your save file and your progress can be wiped at any time. Did the server go inactive? If so be prepared to gamble that the host doesn't wipe it or take the whole thing offline.
- Playing online requires decent internet. Your experience now has a ping if you take your experience online, possibly even a large one tied too it when you could have had a 0 ping experience just by playing solo
- You want to solo all the bosses and don't want other players carrying you through any of the content.
Then get off the game?
The devs want to make an on server experience, not solo. Sorry to say but this might not be your game.
Any player on private or offline is basically invisible to the devs as the pve servers are pretty much empty so those pve servers are a dead investment and you wonder why they don't care about you.
This isn't exactly a zero sum game. The devs do indeed want to make an online server experience, but they also want to offer alternatives to that experience for those who want them. Hence why private and offline server experiences are possible.
And they are financially incentivised to do so because that generates more sales when you offer more ways to play your game.
Ignoring the doubtful claim you are in the majority this happens in every pvp game.
Someone with common sense, thank you.
In addition to that, they are making quite extensive changes to the whole base building system, which means that every castle that exist in the game doesnt use the new, and quite different base building mechanic.
Thats only mentioning one issue that definitely will introduce bugs or not wanted "situations".
When the new update rolls out, all servers will be wiped. Even your local single player game.
But don't worry. Starting fresh allows you to play the game again. It's where the fun is.
Can get to end game is like a day or two anyway.
