Still No Roof?
I just built floors/walls of stone in a roughly rectangular shape around the room I already built of stone as well and while that place is protected with a roof, the outer room is still letting the sunlight in.

What am I doing wrong. May put up pictures later...

Screenshots would help, but just make sure all walls are stone, and every bit of the floor is covered. Miss even one spot and it won't work. If there's a specific room that isn't properly roofed, consider deleting and rebuilding a wall to try and get the game to recognize that it is a room in case it's a bug.

Also a wooden coffin doesn't alow flooring under it...

Everything is right now. The roof appears only when I replaced all the wooden palisades with stone walls. It's because my castle has a weird L-shape following the contours of the higher levels of ground it's built on. So though that the roof would cover the room as soon as I had stone walls on either side and not quite all that way around.

Do you still wanna see pictures?

Well there (was) your problem. You need to have all walls made of stone. Palisades are just wooden stakes in the ground; not suitable for building a roof on.
