wow my castles gone what happened?

sure i didnt play for a few days and it might have started to decay
but that it's all just gone? is that right?
is that the game that you want to make?
it takes 11 days for the castle to reach decay,
then a couple of days of decay, i guess.
and then it just vanishes? no ruins? just a reset?
thats like 100 hours of progress just gone.

what an awesome game you have here.
where everything you do can just vanish
if you dont log in everyday. good job.

The servers have limited space for players, so it needs a passive system to cleanse itself of those that may never return, hence the decay system.

If you can't maintain an active schedule for the game, then you should play on a private server since time doesn't pass while you're not playing.

tho i dont think that anyone plays on the offical server anymore, that im on. i never seen anyone online on it for the past month.
honestly thats just not a good system, where the game erases 100 of your hours played within a few days. i feel very betrayed. and hurt by this.
i dont feel like rebuilding any of it.
i think im done. yep. im done with this game now.

honestly thats just not a good system, where the game erases 100 of your hours played within a few days. i feel very betrayed. and hurt by this.

You feel hurt and betrayed by a game that has mechanics in place to kick out inactive players to let new ones in so there isn't perm castles all over?

If this is what it takes for you to be hurt and betrayed then go touch some grass, like no for real go and touch some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ grass and get in touch with reality if a video games core mechanics hurt you and make you feel betrayed even though you knew what the core mechanics were.

Go back to twitter maybe.

there is perma castles, that have been in decay for weeks. but they are still there. and nobody plays on that server anymore. the population is like 10 and active is 0. its not like my castle was taking away any space.

A bit late now, but just keep an eye on the heart and keep topping it up.

Mine is a tier 3, which means I just need to log in once in an 8 day cycle, which isn't so bad.

Also, id much rather the decay system than server wipes, which is what a lot of people were originally calling for. This is much better.

It's gone, not because it decayed but because someone actually destroyed it while it was in a decayed state.

Could be this to be honest. If you're playing on PVP servers then another player could just break into your castle and use a "key" item to destroy it.

It could be this. However, if it's a PVE server and your castle is in a decaying state, you can still be raided.

Server wipes are mainly for the no lifers who need constant wipes to keep engaged.

In pve wipes aren't really practical.

it was on an official PVE server, which, like said, had no active players. as far as I know, castles cannot be destroyed in those PvE servers, since you cannot get through the walls or doors. Only someone who was able to fly, could have gotten in, I guess. But the spot was empty. Nobody used the space after my castle was gone.
First I was pissed that all my materials and servants were gone,
but now Im just sad. I had high hopes for this game but it looks more and more like a forgettable experience.

You can destroy walls or doors of decaying castles with regular attacks and spells, PVE or not. No siege golem required.
