How does V-rising 'tick' your boxes?
I search for months and years at times go get a game i'm into. In love with this game, here's the boxes that it ticks for me:

- Interesting theme and gameplay (dodging light in the shadows, filling blood pool by feeding)
- The game isn't completely procedural/random/seed as there is a set map. However, the enemies, chests, foilage respawn quickly. I've deconstructed a castle wall and had a new new environment spawn immediately. You can farm an area and have chests and enemies respawn as your farming it. I absolutely need that randomness in a game
- V rising a good balance between the option to grind and set progress. I like to farm to get ahead of the curve. In other games it can be ruined if farming makes me overpowered, or on the other side, if farming doesn't help then its pointless
- I like the opportunities such as searching roads near where's there's big monsters to pick up loot that npcs dropped after getting killed by them. Scavenging/gambling feeling adds to my enjoyment
- House/castle building. Easy to do and rewarding. I'm not an expert with any form of art, but unlike other games, I actually feel what I build was visually appealing
- Diablo-style content, lots of special abilities. It's not in any way like a bullet hell because it allows you to do different styles such as full frontal attacking, or skulking around and turtle-ling. Even though I'm can be a tab-target type of player, and at worse a turn based combat player, I'm still doing great with the diablo style fighting and downing bosses that I need to

I, and many other people have suggestions to this game. I'd like the publishers to know that they really have ticked a lot of my boxes, and I hope they make games/patches/sequels to this game. It took off, and is really popular, and I think they can keep ticking our boxes to be a success with these games.

Last 3 Advices:
1) I don't know why this game didn't stick out as one I would enjoy so much, but the price was right, and reviews were good, so I'm glad I went for it. Maybe I should re-read the descriptions, but If it was more obvious, mabye I might have bought it sooner.
2) I was completely sold on the price, and I will pay the same amount for expansions
2) I am a big mmorpg player, but I a loner when it comes to it, so I'm super happy with my private world that I can invite friends to. However, maybe different versions of official serves would help players that are fully committed to playing online with others. I am glad I can do it solo, so I think there'd be a divide in the fan base for an mmorpg and a solo-online type player like myself.

I had fun with the game but idk how replayable it is. Once you beat all the bosses there isn't much to do

It's a good game for the price. I will get my monies worth in play time but I have not reached the end on a PvE server and I am already losing interest in playing. It's a lot more linear in progression than I would like to be interested to do multiple new sessions after wipes if I ever jumped into PvP. I'm not a fan of the map layout, it feels to tight to me with some short cuts being blocked off by other players. I understand a tighter map leads to more danger on the roads but it leads to a lot of down time walking around getting places.

The player character is slow, and inside my castle I need to stay in wolf form to get around the castle or it will take forever sorting and crafting. Objectives to progress are not always clear. I know you have blood tracking but I had to look up the places I had to find the next resource needed because it was never pointed out and I would rather that information be provided in game and not have to be searched for independently.

I do like the game but the way it sits now I don't love the game. I am interested to see if in the future they adjust any of the things that I listed for reasons it won't keep my interest for very much longer.

All that being said, I fully understand that fun is subjective and that the same things I might not like about the game are the same things that some one else might love the game. So to be fair I don't expect the game to be adjusted to fit my expectations.

Building castle
Server community
Somehow reminds me of old school diablo or vanilla wow.. maybe the artstyle? Or the music?

Also love the battlerite combat, even though I wish we had 1-2 more spells and could mix and match some more.
Also bear form needs a charge.

It got huge potential, some admins of our servers already got the items for the next patch :o

Also placing carpets makes you run 15% faster.
And you can have an infinite numbers of 100% if you plan it well and drain your prisoners, I love that option.

The single player settings options are great. I enjoy collecting and leveling and adjusting difficulty. Being able to play solo and shut the game off whenever I need to is perfect. As far as replay with the settings I should be able to keep myself entertained for a while. It is one of the most immersive, yet easy to shut off games I have played. Also being able to control the grind level with the settings is great, and has one of the best map implementations I've played.

I hope they add plenty of more great stuff for release, but I'm having a lot of fun with the early access.

It ticks a lot of boxes but also has some very annoying features. No such thing as the perfect game. Would be nice if it was perfect for me but then it might not be perfect for the other guy.
In the end, the hours in the game show how many boxes it ticks.
Worst offender for me are the control system, I'm not a fan and never really feel in control. You can throw in the cursor being to small and not locked to window.

The pvp's great. Always fun to jump players fighting other bosses etc.

tbh i own a bunch of games of this genre and i really really tried to like them and stick with them, i never got that itch, hooked into the gameplay loop, etc

with this game i bought and i was on the same mood, no expectations, just "ok,its 20 dollars, let me try it" and........ i'm addicted to it, one more day, one more run to gather stuff and its very enjoyable.

Castle building is simple and cute
Give me battlerites old good memories
The survival is fun with PvP
It's easy and challenging to start over and over again for those early fights for resources.
If I don't like the people playing there I just move to another server.
