[Guide] How to port private game saves to different computers
Currently, there is no official way to port your saved privately hosted games from one computer to the next -- steam cloud saves your files across computers, however, they do not transfer the server settings and unique ids such that you can connect to your world from a different computer or etc (you will get a connection timeout).

Here is the method to port your saves from one computer to the next such that you can connect to it.

(1) Go to your old computer, enable hidden items from *view* options in This PC > Windows-SSD(C:)
(2) Go to Users > YOUR USERNAME > AppData > LocalLow > Stunlock Studios > VRising
(3) From here we will want to go to SAVES and COPY our save file from our old computer (mine was named "v1") and download it onto our new computer.
(4) After you downloaded your saved file, repeat steps (1) and (2)
(5) Paste your saved file into the SAVES folder -- you will now be able to connect to your saved file from another computer.

Addendum: You will usually experience some new stutters as your computer gets used to the new save, but it will decrease with time. This method works because your saved file contains all of the information needed to run the server again include server settings and the actual save file (which steam doesn't include as of early access)

Edit: If the above method does not work, also make sure you download any missing folders on your new computer that isn't included from your old computer -- some of these include "ServerSettingPresets", "Settings", "Player-server.log" and etc.

You should make it an actual guide ;)

The developer should make this less complicated. This is what cloud saves are meant to do if done correctly.
