It's depressing living in a society where people think a privately owned megacorporation that gets its money by investing or buying out other companies to profit a handful of profiteers is communism.
I live in a world where people don't know the definitions of words.
Communism is an economic / political system without money, without a state, and where all companies are collectively owned and managed directly by the workers.
In what way is Tencent, or China, communist? Where is the overlap?
As to our 50 cent army member, the US is not and never has been a Democracy, it is a constitutional republic, by design. We dodged the bullet of direct democracy, for the most part, until the 17th Amendment started the accelerated decline of the last century.
And no, talking about the people of China being victims of the CCP is not a racist statement, it has nothing to do with their race. Plenty of non-ethnic Chinese in China that are subject to the same abuses, and they are included in the statement "the Chinese people," same as all races are included in the statement "the American people."
Maybe they monitor people and steal info, but I don't understand the need to also add their communist. It's like saying, "EA is a capitalist party led company that expands its market control over new industries and steals consumer info." Actually, I think I'd prefer the communist version of EA, thank you. I'm buying now.
China is copying the US after WWII. It situated itself as the world's manufacturer, performed massive urban development projects with the hope of future returns, spread influence through economic tactics around the world, and is currently outsourcing its manufacturing and shifting into a capital intense market that is rivaling and threatening to surpass the Western powers.
This is 100% pure capitalist behavior. There is nothing even remotely communist happening here.
Nations and political parties and politicians call themselves things all the time. The Nazis called themselves socialist, North Korea calls itself a democracy, and China calls itself communist. Those labels mean nothing, though. Politicians lie all the time. You have to look at their behavior instead.
China meets 0 out of 3 conditions to be a communist society. It also meets 0 out of 1 condition to be considered socialist. It is a capitalist nation, and currently, the fasted growing capitalist economy in human history.
very sad, didnt know this was a tencent game, thank you OP for informing me
I think they were referring to communism, though.
