Maybe start over and treat your first run through as a trial. Check all the advanced settings to make sure you know what rules you will be agreeing to.
Myself I make sure that I go out empty handed and use the portal to get where I need to go and then if possible use the cave system to get back faster depending on where the base is.
Also servants help alleviate some of the grind for resources.
Of course I'd make a backup just in case and try at your own risk but thought it was worth mentioning since it was a game changer for me and my friend who were finding the standard loot multiplier a nightmare for a 2 person playthrough.
dont edit beyond max values that can corrupt your save
You have to be careful with the json file. Leaving out a comma is the most common issue I've had. If you post your config I'll be happy to look at it.
Hey, I did this too. In the future, solo play, be sure to check the box before starting a world so that you can travel with resources. As a new player, it's understandable. Now...
Here's how to fix it. Go to %appdata% on your PC. You can access this by Windows key+R.
Back out of Roaming into Appdata and go into LocalLow.
Find the Stunlock studios folder.
VRising>Cloudsaves/Saves(depending whether or not it's saving to the cloud here, just check the save time for when it last saved.) >Save>v1>keep going until you reach a folder with a bunch of autosaves.
Open up the "Servergamesettings.json" with the notepad.
Add this EXACT LINE:
"TeleportBoundItems": false,
the "," in the end is necessary or it won't work. Save and start up Vrising again. Should let you TP now. Make a backup just in case though.
I disagree, there's a difference between challenge and tedium. Beating the bosses is challenging, schlepping the iron back to base and fighting/avoiding trash mobs is tedium.
