Tristan kill

I am having problems solo killing tristan, are there any good skills? im gear level 49 with iron weapons and hollowfang and i want him dead for the blood essence rescipe.

i just cheese it and use range dpf spells. use chaos spells to burn him down and avoid his attacks. his attack patterns is easy enough to toy with so if pick up on it then just move, dodge, burn him then eventually you will drain his power.

to clarify: i did grind a bit to get the merciless crossbow, rings that up spellpower, the double dash power and burn spells. so just shoot/burn him, move/dodge around and you will get him. it took me about 5-7 mins to take him down and this was during nighttime.

Run Chaos shield and the unholy one like everyone is saying. I find the spear the best weapon for him because you can use the unholy shield to summon the skeleton. Dash behind him and poke him for heal then use the multi strike. Chaos shield as he turns to you. By that time he is burning and your unholy is back up. Hit it again. rinse and repeat. If you need some space you can still toss your spear at him to keep dps up a bit.

I will probably do a scroll run and some crafting runs maybe i can up my gear a bit. Thanks for the tips.

I do still have basic potions like ferocity, which i just discovered as well and garlic resistence but i havent killed the jewel crafter BEFORE him because i wanted the essence skill and a better player could kill him with my gear.

As another has said, if you absolutely cannot get him head on, engage him around an unbreakable tree or rock and cheese him hard.

What abilities and weapons op? i used the just base blood tree and got him pretty easily.

I soloed him without Iron gear on lvl 38, that battle lasted me a long time, i used barrages of the crossbows "Rain of Bolts", and then the abilities "Chaos Volley" and "Corpse Explosion" for some good damage and also useful for whenever strangers join him in battle, and whenever he gets close i use "Veil of Chaos" and jump a 2nd time whenever the recast bar gets low to get as far as possible, then repeat my barrage, or have enough distance to heal.

I started this battle at dawn and it ended right before another dawn as well so it was tough.

I used my "Merciless Charge" ultimate on him if i had"Veil of Chaos" ready and he got too close, i'd charge him then jump out right after leaving him there and repeat barrages again.

Chaos spells and kite him around a large rock. Also crossbow for more damage, or the slicers for more evasion tools. You'll want the cotton thread tier armor and iron weapons. Which of course is fairly easy to obtain.

Yeah i never allowed myself to get that close to him, i'd use Veil of Chaos and the enviroment to keep him at bay, and i use his fire attack against him because he has to walk around it.

Oh nvm, i killed him with lvl 35 Gear, no wonder the fight took so long lmao.

Max range him with chaos dash, chaos bolt and whatever other aoe spell you want.. just stay out of range, when he gets close dash through him..

I can kite him a bit the fight just seems to breakdown when i catch fire the damage is too great and when i dash out he instantly follow sup with several hits while my dash is on cooldown. After that i run away....

im in level 50 gear using chaos bolt, unholy shield and chaos dash.

Ive tried illusion and blood dash, blood rage, sanguine coil since i killed meridith and the holy priestess already.

I popped a ferocity potion im really at a loss.

can you farm/craft fire resist potions? if its any consolation, ive wiped multiple times on behemoth but finally went down tonight. Maybe wait for a blood moon, have great blood, fire resist potion and good luck

Normally hes a tricky bastard for me as well... and that is why i wait until i have 3 or 4 levels more then him and have farmed a merciless iron weapon(or the soul reaper) and a decent pendant(amethyst is my favorite) on these i also stack ferocity&enchanted&fire potions so he will go down easy enough...
No worries the guy is pretty rough compared to most bosses that are easy enough if you play smart and are equal level or just slightly below them...
