I can get behind this if it's the only way. Or mods on Steam Workshop for free, win win. The Steam Workshop modding community is a blessing.

To everyone else have a safe and happy 4th of July today. Don't forget work starts back up tomorrow morning.
Also the AI? cities, patrols, bosses? How would all that get sorted out? Right now iron and silver come from very specific spots how would you address that still have silver and iron mines but they are in random locations.
People think they want something but don't actually think about what it would take to get there.
Hell 7D2D has been in alpha for like 13 years and they JUST NOW got to almost having a really nice world gen system..
the only way we get variety in this game would be DLC maps which yes would be very nice like ARK.
However having more maps is just a designer issue. Are developers really that bad at making more maps, heck the community loves building things why do developers act like it's so impossible. It should be something creative nature of a developer to want to do. Like when we get a new call of duty or w/e shooter and they release with five maps and it always is super cringe knowing that in reality it isn't that hard to do.
