Question Recipe for Refining Iron (New Foundry)

So, I have the Iron Ore -> Iron Ingot recipe and I can refine iron ore into ingots in my original foundry.

However, since I've progressed in the game, I've established a new castle further north (closer to the iron mine and other goodies) on the map and, in it, have built a new foundry... but the new foundry says I don't have the recipe to smelt/refine iron into ingots.

So... how do I get the recipe... again? Do I need to fight that Bandit King again, every time I want to build a new foundry or is there something else I'm missing here?

That's odd seeing as progression is tied to the character and not your castle. maybe try building a research table at the new castle and see if you gain all the lost knowledge back? might be a bug as well. maybe logging off and logging back on, deleting the foundry and re adding it? - just my thoughts & what id try myself.

Thanks for the tips... after taking out the Bandit King again and ascertaining that did not work, ended up just dismantling the foundry and rebuilding it again and seemed to have done the trick. Maybe a weird "early access" bug

This game has few bugs, but there are definitely some lurking around.

Make sure you actually built the castle. Idk if it's solo you're in but if your Blood Altar says you killed the bandit king, you must have it. If you built a "foundry" in someone else's castle, it counts as their property, therefor it 'should' use their recipes. If they've not killed the bandit king and your foundry is attached to their castle heart, you might not be able to craft it in that foundry.
