May 31st Patch Issues

If you are experiencing issues after today's patch, please try the following:

-Verify game files on Steam. Steam > Right click on Battlerite > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game files

-Restart your PC

-Deleting the ClientSettings.json file in this path: %userprofile%\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\Settings
After deleting it, please try launching the game again

If these solutions don't solve the issue, please explain in this thread what the issue is with as much detail as possible.

I personally do not know how to delete the client settings, but otherwise i have tried all the other options. i deleted the game and re-downloaded it as well. what is happening for me is i click play, and a box with a "!V" pops up but the game will not even fully launch. then it closes and on steam it once again says i can click to play the game.

EDIT: i was able to find and delete the client settings and it did not fix the issue, so i restarted and still no change to my issue.

After starting the game my screen flickers and it seems to just open a transparent window. About a minute later i get an error saying the game is not responding. Im running the game on linux (ubuntu 20.04) and have tried proton 7 and experimental. Previously i had to copy over stun_steamnetworking.dll from battlerite royale for the game to work but that no longer fixes the game for me. I have tried to verify gamefiles and reinstalling the game. The Settings directory does not exist so there is no ClientSettings.json file to delete.

For me after updating the game today it worked for first but after restarting i wasn't able to load my (single player) savegame. the continue-screen showed a local saves bar (which it didn't before). and a "recently played on" bar. in both my savegame is shown. when choosing the local saves game i can start and host it. but after (seeming to) completely load, it says "error: server error".
When choosing "recently played" i can join, but not host. and after trying to join. it loads (connecting (5/5) but after that it says "error: connection timed out".
tried everything suggested but no success.

Having Major issues with the Map, Worst of ALL the design is extreamly bad all the farms are named farm.. ALL castle hearts on the entire server show with NO way to turn them OFF..
The tracker no longer show as a guidence on the compass..

And WHY!! why the.... do you NOT have coordinates like ABCDEFGHIJKLM & 123456789
Instead of everything looking the exact DAMN same with extreamly BADLY highlighted roads blocked every damn were by other peoples castles.

Make the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ map better & FFS i DO NOT CARE were every damn player on the maps base is not even showing WHO the hell owns each and not even working if its allied or not.

Im desperatly looking for Addons made by someone else because the game itself is so badly designed, i would rather have someone elses map then yours.

And there is literaly no options for the damn map in game.

Everything i DO NOT want you have stuffed in there and what i DO want i have no ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ way of seeing, the game is completely unplayable, and on top there are entire areas blocked off or you can get stuck with no other option then die and drop all to get free.

If you can jump DOWN.. you should be able to get back up...

And the settings.. 90000% sun damage.. Main boss in the game.. the sun.. GOD that change direction every 2 seconds and burn you to death even inside castles..

Leveling system were the materials you need are blocked due to not high enough level... and only place to get them is higher lvl then current gear.. and in most cases you need 50 of each but even when killing a boss it only drop 2

And the bosses are a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ joke.. they spawn ADDS... and the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ADDS are harder then the boss itself.. more damage harder to avoid and usualy there are 3 or more of them that constantly ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ spawn.

PvE is like playing a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ HARDCORE Nightmare difficulty because everything is blocked off by imortal GOD walls.

And the Leveling system is the dumbest thing i have ever seen.. If you are a complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ NOOB that has NEVER played before you friend can give you Epic legendary gear of awesome epicsauce and BOOM instantly godmode..

But if you are stuck without materials or the right recepie no matter if you play 900h you will NEVER progress untill you get glas of the poop and straw of the leaf crafted in bench of the woodworker and a sprinkle of pixy dust that only drops from a frog in the complete other side of the map.

Its like you took the dumbest ideas from the worst parts of World of Warcraft and then said WOW lets add this crap to piss people off and then lock them behind no progress other then the gear but at the same time let anyone just be able to give it so there realy is no challange at all if you get handed endgame loot.

Paragon levels from Diablo.. great way to gradualy EARN a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ improvement that follows you regardless of server its YOU and YOUR feats that matter not luck or pay to win.

Well, servers are working for me, but i can't connect to that i was playing on (it doesnt containt 'oficial' in name, only they are working for me now). Can you guys reboot it? I have ip: 176.57.174.208:31400 of that. Much thx

And what does all this has to do with today's patch issues? Maybe the game is not the right one for you and you should play another one?!

Players logging out on throne will brick their game after latest patch. had two players log out while sitting to patch, upon logging back in they would connect to the server then immediately get booted back to main menu.

The only way to solve this issue was to turn PvP on (this was a PvE server) and kill the affected players. they were then able to log back in.

Finding and deleting the ClientSettings.json file worked for me. I was really worried I wouldn't be able to get the game to work. Thank you for this solution!

Server: The Twilight Saga. My character got deleted...is there any way to reverse this? I lost 14h!
