saving a solo game
How do you save a solo game without having to start all over each time?

I having some trouble with the auto saving myself, I have no idea how it works. But just lost somewhat 1 hours of grind and work on my solo game.

A manual save would be very appreciated.

It should save your progress whenever you leave a game, and then from the main menu you use the Continue option to access it, similarly to how you'd access a server you'd previously played on.

same issue here, tried many things, but sound slike i'm losing all my progresses each time ...

I'm not sure if this is trolling or just being new to gaming.
Everytime you leave the game from the menu it should autosave.
Idk why it wouldn't save. Maybe your antivirus is blocking the game from writing save files or maybe your save file in the cloud(old) replaces your actual(new) save. Try turning off your antivirus then cloud saving from game settings on steam, see if that works.

I lost my progress once and had to restart, but the nice thing is that under custom game settings you can just start at whatever milestone you left off at so for solo play its fine.

on my side i think this was related to steam client update. Seems resolved so far after updating the client.

Just leave the game. It saves automatically. When you start the game again, click on Continue, and then double-click your server on the server list. I've never had an issue with the game not saving.

if you can't continue you game
go to C:\Users\"your user name"\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\Saves\v1\"your save"
Find empty autosave folders from bottom to top
and delete
ex.AutoSave_82 is empty delete this
should be able to fix this error

Been having a similar issue however when I check the autosave folder I find that there are chunks of autosaves missing. I still get the 26 total folders but there are sections missing. Like I have a save from _39 but then it jumps to _50, and then again form _66 to _76. This is roughly 100 minutes of game play since it seems to autosave every ten minutes.
Basically what it seems like, is that the game is actually not autosaving like it is suppose to. As a result even when leaving the game normally, like to the desktop or just to leave the game option the progress is completely lost, and since there is no saved data there is no option of getting it back. Not sure what is causing this gap in saves but losing progress this way is a frustration I would like to resolve.

Ok Karen! I just asked a question. Stay off the forums if you are going to get so triggered.

You did out right either call him a troll or a noob, and thats hardly helping, What people clearly are talking about, is there game is not auto saving for some reason.
Likely a bug, like the people who can't get past charater creations, there game just goes into blacks screen and thats it.

No I didn't, exact sentence was: "I'm not sure if this is trolling or just being new to gaming." Then tried to help because I assumed he was not a troll even though I wasn't sure.
If you truly found a way to be offended by this sentence that just shows you're mentally weak.

And you could not help right out of the gate? Its clearly a bug, many more have talked about it. Its like the guy who thought git gud had no negative connotations.

Its nice you want to help, i'm just questioning your me methods.
