Suggestions for repairing gear after 75 hours solo
Repairing endgame gear is a complete grindfest, way more so than repairing early/mid game gear, I didn't really notice much of an issue before I upgraded my gear to maximum but the costs are just so heavy.

My nightstone of the beast amulet which is level 24 is badly damaged for example, and it's almost just worth it to pass it on to a servant and make a fresh one. This really doesn't make sense. It's the exact same for the rest of the gear. Lower level gear is NOT an issue really at least I found but grind the end game resources especially given how long it takes to refine and the craft said resources makes it even more unbearable. I've found myself grinding for repair resources and end up needing even more when I get back to base. Ridiculous.

I think the biggest problem is that gear loses durability *on hit* and not on death, which isn't a problem really but the proportion of resources required to repair an item is absurd.

Maybe changing it to lose durability (even more) on death but prevent loss on hit could be a nice change, or just lower resource cost across the board,

Or perhaps make it so you can only repair items in their respective work stations for a much lower cost and the trade off is you can't repair on the "fly" so to speak.

I'm on an official server, so I cannot edit or tweak settings.

tl;dr : Lower repair costs, or make repairing exclusive to workstations for a lower cost and change dura-loss on hit to on death instead ?

I totally agree with you on the repair costs, its like they are aiming to retain the 10% of the playerbase which are sweats and giving the rest the middle finger.

How does that not make sense, thats a perfect scenario as servants get the same stats from broken armor.

What I meant is it doesn't make sense to make a new item instead of repairing it or at least shouldn't almost match the cost, but given how the servants benefit from items it's useful.

he's saying that repairing the gear being almost the same cost as originally making it doesn't make sense, which it doesn't, the gear grind is awful rn

You lose durability when you get hit so I've noticed that as long as you don't get hit your repair bills are going to be smaller.

This means the game will heavily favour caster / crossbow playstyles above anything that wants to engage in melee and use lifesteal effects to be 'tanky'.

While it makes sense that your gear takes damage when you actually get hit I think the better solution would be to make gear take damage over time as you spend more time in combat.

Either way the repair costs are ridiculous especially considering how fast your ♥♥♥♥ can break. On private servers these numbers can be adjusted but the default numbers, if you prefer to play on the 'official' servers, make it rather unfun.

A simple solution is to put repair kits and tier them.

You're forgetting that PvP makes you lose a big chunk of durability if/when you die. For a game that revolves around PvP, it sure as hell seems to want to discourage it.

Simple, disable it in the config file.
Did repair bring anything interessting for gameplay? Nope, its only a timesink!

1. In PvE it only a timesink, where you need to farm new resources to repair it.
2. In PvP it is even worse, because you will repair it more often, to not get in situation where it get broken in the middle of a fight. Also you repair it more often when you die in pvp and sent back to your base.

Hurray.. in PvE you waste your time that can invest in progress.
Harray² in PvP it waste your time, where you can do pvp with others, until some one has no ressouces left and you crush them... so you can raid there base with depleated ressouces. Also the player will mostly left the server and you have less fun with others.

Not so simple if you want to play with other people on someone elses server.

And now with a resaon why please... i see no reason not to disable the system when you play with others. It only make the ressouces spots less important, that you have a fairer gameplay. It will make hording and guarding the ressouces less imporant. Its fairer for every one. There will ber less ganking in the mines... because you don't need the resouces so often.

This, infact it not only discourages pvp it encourages the bullying of lower levels by groups of people. because you stand very low risk of dying.

True, they hord the materials, they hord the spots, they bash the slower players. It only make the game slower and give players with more time and more people a bigger advantage. Reparing is useless in this game... its only a timesink. i have disable it all the time.

By far the worst part of the game. 2 of my 4 man clan have quit because the end-game grind is just non-stop farming golden jewelry so you can either gear servants or repair your own gear and PvP again. 25% durability loss paired with only 15% value dropped means resources are just burned out of the game constantly. Anyone you raid will keep their end-game resources in a lockbox anyway.
Stephanos May 27, 2022 @ 6:59am
I played 140 hours...the trick is to put your broken gears on your servants...for golden jewlery send hunting two servants (of silverlight, or silverlhills?) at main city of the order

if you would like, I can post my server details, I have solved this problem
Smug Kot May 27, 2022 @ 7:40am
Even simplier solution, its the dev to change the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ UP default setting and lower the durability loss.
