Quick question on (workshop) floor

Does the Castle Heart stop the floor from all being 'workshop' or whatever?
Does this mean you need to put the Heart and production equipment in a separate rooms to get the bonus?

I played around with it a bit myself and found the answer...

The Heart does indeed ruin any flooring bonus for a workshop etc...

I found at least in my case a quick remedy was to wall in the Heart into its own 1 by 1 room which left all the surrounding floor as workshop and gave the relevant buildings the bonus.

Yea soon you will see that you will need.. 6+ different rooms.. alchemy, tailoring, forge, workshop, crypt, prison.. might be more I haven't gotten to yet.

Yeah unfortunately as you found out the castle heart isn't allowed to be included as a certain floor type so it needs to be walled off, which in a PvP server is what you would do anyways.

Thats why i always put the heart either in the throne room, or the study (Room with all the research objects) because these do not have floors to worry about.

Yeah after doing this bit - I did some interior redecorating - moved a few interior walls, desks, chests and such and now have a tiny forge, alchemy lab, workshop and heart room.

I even put up some lovely wood panelling in the workshop hehe

Really great mechanics (in solo server anyway) that allows you to move built stuff and shift things about. Don't feel punished for putting something down sub-optimally initially.
