you can always try the direct connect option if you know the ip & port, once you connected it should be in your recent servers list

Where are you hosting the server? Is it a second computer on the LAN?

I didn't understand what you mean. I don't know where to look for the IP of my server. Unfortunately :(

If you are hosting the server on the same computer your'e trying to play on it might not work at all, just a heads up. I would use the Private game launch instead. Others can still join you that way. Even by sending steam play invites if needed.

did you do port forwarding on your router
if you haven't done this then you won't be able to see your server.

In many cases, you can't host from the same computer you are planning to play from. I'm not sure that's the case in this game as I haven't tried yet, but it's very possible this is your issue.

We noticed when we spin up servers for clients that it takes about 3-4 hours for the server to show up on the masterlist.

Try direct connect to: 127.0.0.1

This is IP address always your localhost loopback IP address for your system.

If you left the port the default port, then there is no need to supply a port number. Default ports are 9876 and 9877. If you want to try direct connect with port to your own system, it’s: 127.0.0.1:9876

I have the same problem as OP. I installed the V Rising server as instructed but I cant log in with my internet ip address and the server does not show up on the master server list.

But I could connect to 127.0.0.1 so the server is obviously up. I did disable my firewall and I opened all the correct port on my Linksys smart wifi, the ports 9876,9877,27015,27016.

Could it be the cisco modem that is blocking and not the linksys router or any firewalls on the computer?

Yes, the server is being created and I can access it. But I can't find the server in the search. Opened all ports in the firewall and in the TP link router, but so far there is no result.

Not being able to find server in search is a common Steam issue with many games. Unfortunately there's no solution to that. People outside your network CAN see it in search, but YOU will have to connect with direct connection using 127.0.0.1. Annoying, but it works.

For anyone having similar issues but are running a server on a 2nd computer that's on their network, you'll need to use direct connect using the local IP of the computer that is hosting the game.

Other people also do not see the server and the server status in the game menu is not determined. Although people can enter through the friendship invite option
