That's the reason why people fear that The Days Before is a scam, because same devs.
As of similarities, I don't know didn't check out The Wild Eight, only watched a few videos about V Rising, waiting for controller support before buying.
That's said devs copying game elements from other games is normal... there is only so much stuff that you can invent yourself in this day and age.
As for disappointment, yep the game is not as you expected... is that the gams falut? Or you reading the hype wrong. Does not even matter if game is good or not.
Not every story needs to be an action movie. No need to force the same stereotypes just becasuse they are popular. There is plenty of good games with no such specializations.
But anyways, you do get them here, they are just free to create by the players and not set in the game UI. Skill and weapon choice favorus some type of play over other. You can build tank, be dedicated healer, buff bot, ccbot, assasian, long range support etc. The only issue is that to perform those roles you need to have some basic skills down. Like every heal move is a skill shot of sorts, if you cant hit your teammates reliably you are not playing healer.
Why? I don't think it belongs in this game, but why is it a bad design?
And ofc its booring, as its too widespread because big money and creativity dont mix. But tbh its not trinitys itself fault, but devs are trying to shove it into games where complexity should come from character building, as well as using symmetrical systems between classes. Which is bad.
Try trinity in fast paced action game and its much better. One of the reasons why is that fast gameplay puts limits on how far you can take the trinity concept and so its easier to not overdo it. But good games with trinity do happen... like say For the King.
