Private server servant hunting time
Is there a way to adjust the amount of time required when sending servants to hunt?
24 hours is too long for small private servers/single player sessions that can't be up 100% of the time.

You decide how long the servants are out for with a slider on the mission screen. You can choose between 2/8/16/23 hours. If you want, I hear there is a mod that allows time to continue when logged off (though I've not used it personally, so use at your own risk).

Or you can change the mission reward setting to give 5x the rewards and send them out on 2-hour missions. And/or increase the amount of servants you can have so you can send out more missions.

Yeah I'm aware you can set the hunt duration when sending them out, but even then the minimum is at 2 hours still.
From what I've seen, setting the duration to minimum also affects the chance of drop for certain loot (for example, sending servants to Mosswick village with just 2 hours duration may result in no fish dropping).

It's what I've been doing for now but not an idea solution.

Would be great if an option can be included in the future (if it isn't currently adjustable in any way) similar to how we can already configure the speed of material refinement :/

There are currently no mods or any online file edits I've found to shorten the time below 2h minimum. Maybe they'll add a slider in future or someone will come out with a mod, but I know all the server edits you can do ingame have their minimum and maximum as edit-able values. If you knew how, you could set everything higher or lower in the files, but since there's not even a slider for that yet it's not possible atm.

The only real solution I can think of is to take anyone you can and stock them up with Merciless Copper weaponry and Merciless Nightstalker armour. At that level, and in numbers, they should be able to take on anything reasonably well in their respective areas, provided they're the right type of servant for the job.

No need to be overly anal on the blood %, high blood % are better used as slaves for draining blood directly for bossfights. Even 100% blood enemies only gain at max 15% expertise, which isn't a lot at all, and it's RNG so they could even get 12% expertise, not worth it.

there is a setting how much recources they get from hunting not same a speeding it up but also helps since you can change time for hunting anyway (but with higher risk ).

Yeah its kinda a let down right now in T2 with the thralls and being on private game. Had maybe 4 gameplay sessions and its only been an hour each, making these thralls feel useless.

Yeeeah right now they seem to be tuned for persistent servers. Hopefully they address this at a later time but do keep in mind this is still in early access and things likely will change.

There's always the option to park in your castle and just let the game run over night.

Or they could be implement easily, to lookup the time delta since the last save, when starting up the game, and pass the time by that. This could be an optional server setting, promoteing non-dedicated servers. :)

Yep, I don't think we're even going to see our servents again. We'll finish the game faster then they get back from that one mission we've sent them on.

Yep, AFAIK you can only set how much loot they'll bring, but you can't set how fast they'll come back.

That's why I think servants are just a waste of time for SP or non dedicated PvE servers:

- First, when they finally come back from that mission, you'll already have looted all you need and advanced to a point where that loot you sent them for will be useless or inconsequential.

- Second, outside PvP there's no threat to your castle at all, so you don't need them to defend it while you're away.

I could also make an argument they're not even good for RP as they do nothing but walk around like walking corpses. But this is just my personal opinion, can't say how I would've changed them to make them more life like.

This for sure needs to be addressed. As of right now Servants are practically a waste for small private services with just friends / family. I'm not about to leave the game running all night just to let a servant hunt tick down.

I like the suggestion of making the hunts last in game days instead of real life days. The first make sense, the second is something that shouldn't even be considered outside mobile games.
