Alternatively, you could go into offline mode on steam, disable your internet connection too just to be sure, and then start up your solo game. Mind though you'll have to do this each time you want to have a properly solo experience. The game starts up a server for you even if you launch it on solo with internet connection. If you're in offline mode, and your PC can't connect to the internet, that should fix any connection problems.
It feels kind of silly to have to jump through so many hoops just to play a game on my own.
That server also doesnt show on the list, is the server offline or something? Its not a private server.
