you get same amount of play hours as other story driven AAA games. Instead of playing story and watching quick time events, you will spend that time building your castle with simple build options and trying to figure out how to fight bosses. Upgrading through three tiers or hitting end bosses might be a challenge.

There is no long time or replay value

I've just about done everything available in the early access build and I'm sitting at 187 hours. For $20, yeah, that's worth the price of admission and then some.

Yeah it's pretty good. I'd say better than valheim, but they both do more or less a similar kind of thing.

it was fun starting a local game and just playing through the game , i would make the Nights twice as long though cause u can't change your settings once you start the game

Not like Valheim.

V Rising has a static map, it is always the same map. Map is MUCH smaller than Valheim.
V Rising you can only build a single story base, however the decorations and wall pieces look really nice!
V Rising you can customize your character's appearance more.
V Rising has more boss fights, but they tend to be boxed-in so you can't maneuver or use strategies. You just rely on reflex timing (less thinking, moar pew-pew), combat is more basic which means more people can play the game and win fights.
V Rising character level is a product of your gear, your character never gains or loses skill.
V Rising you cannot change the camera angle, you are always at 45 degree 3rd person.
V Rising you feed on enemies, instead of food from inventory.
V Rising you can highly customize your game settings, including damage types and percents, resource amounts, enemy health and levels, plus more!
V Rising saves the game file in a different place than your Steam folder.
V Rising has bottled blood instead of ♥♥♥♥.

Both games have leveled zones, where you need to be geared properly to succeed.
Both games have alchemy (make potions)
Both games have console commands.
Both games AI make the roaming enemies conveniently walk towards the player when you stand still for too long (basic linear pathing).
Both games have no specific "end" but you can eventually clear all content.

You will get more than 20 hours of gameplay with V Rising, and it is really worth the price!

You actually can, but it's more of a hassle. If you create a separate game with the new settings you want, you can copy the server settings file in the new game, and place it in your actual game.

I would recommend you to buy it later this year or next year when the "NEW" big update will come they say. there are not that much to do now after you hit end game.
