i disabled it pretty fast as IMO in solo the 2 thing interesting are boss fight, and castle building, and no teleport only make the inbetween longer without any real gameplay change (no risk of being killed by player)
If you're playing solo or pure PvE, then it serves no purpose other than to annoy the player.
If the default was similar to Valheim where only certain high-value items/ores couldn't be teleported, maybe, but the default is pretty much every single item sans your own equipment and essence/hearts. A little stupid to not be able to teleport with bones or grass.
Tldr: It saves time, and that's about it.
In terms of PvE, teleportation restrictions basically don't matter and the run back only gets worse unless you relocate your base a few times. It's just there to waste your time and the only slight reprieve you get is if you find a particularly high max speed horse to help you run the trips.
Why? Because it adds nothing to the game, other than annoyance and longer play time.
It makes sense to have it enabled on PvP servers. But for PvE, there's no point to it. It just becomes a nuisance.
new player thats late to join in the server would suffer the most out of this as they have to go further and further to danger territory to look for a base spot.
so yea, if you plan on playing private server with some friends or solo, i guess it should be safe to disable the restriction. as it only meant to balance things out and made you migrate to later tier area as you progress. if you are making a public server, better let the restriction on i'd say.
you have something like "TeleportBoundItems", change it from true to false.
It is only a little bit easier.
The only thing I would say as an alternative is up the number of castle hearts you can have. Instead of sticking to two or three, set it at six or more. Then whenever you are heading to new areas, consider making another castle. Then rather than running your stuff back, you just go to your nearest castle with the correct resources. It isn't perfect because a few recipes use resources from different tiers so you will have to do some traveling with resources, but not too much.
All that said, I am sure that a lot of people have six castles as well as allow teleporting. There is really no issue to teleporting with resources except when you want the pvp to actually mean something because part of the pvp will be taking out people that are carrying resources so that you can take those resources.
