What is the point of PvE ?

I mean PvE is chill and fun but what is the point when you cant go raids or get raided , there is no challenge, you just build your castle to the highest level as much as you can and then what ? You just group up with people and kill bosses ? I am not against PvE or something, but would like to see your ideas on it.

I solo on my private default server. Man, it can be really challenging. Enjoying it so far though. I am new to the genre. PvE suits me.

But I don't like PvP in games like V Rising... grind for 10h, build something nice, getting everything wrecked by a group of strangers that are just zerging from servers to servers just to be complete ♥♥♥♥♥ with others....

I don't know.. maybe in some PvP games, I don't mind losing just because what I looted doesn't have the same value. What I spent 5 minutes to get in Fortnite and lose after dying, I don't mind. What I farm for hours and hours, I don't like to lose it all in 2 minutes to a group of no-life players who can do this all day long. PvP vs PvE in games like V Rising is just about one question: how much do you value your time?

What's even the point of PvP? It's basically sanctioned griefing.

90% of it is just getting ganked by several people at once. full-loot pvpers probably aren't even psychologically normal.

I would agree that pve has a weaker endgame, but that doesn't invalidate the journey of building up your castle, gathering and crafting gear and beating all the bosses.

Not all games have extensive endgame content, but that's ok.

I host my own server to play alone myself. It's a lot of work, and the end game can peter out, which I guess is when you start over.

PvE means the player against the environment. Basically you can do the same as in pvp as far as non-playable characters are concerned but without attacking another player, therefore you only enjoy what the developers offer you as npc or artificial intelligence that interacts directly with you, but you can not kill to other players and to know the type of mechanic that is used in those cases. So basically answering your question what is the point of pve, is to do pretty much the same thing you would do in pvp but without killing other people. Surely in google you will find a better definition. Sorry if my answer seems silly but I tried to keep it on par with the question.

because i spent 53 dollars on the game and cant even level up cause i join a server and get raided by try hards instantly with me and my wooden base with a chest of rocks cause my chest of rocks means more to them then anything else right? Pve is the only way i can even play the game at this point without friends. This isnt solo friendly.

If your gonna join a hard core PVP Server such as a thread that was posted a second ago then good luck on getting anything done. You'll spend more time in the graveyard then accomplishing building a castle. Those are griefers paradise. Your best bet is to play PVE and enjoy what the game has to offer without fear of getting killed on sight. Don't get me wrong, I love PVP games but if you have 200 members on one server then its impossible to do anything. One of my buds who posted his own thread earlier this morning created a more laid back PVP Server. Its a smaller server but they help each other plus have skirmishes along the way. If I ever joined a PVP server that would probably be his. After you finish up the PVE aspect of it then there isn't much left to do end game. This game needs raids and such to keep the PVE crowd happy.

I've been playing PVE solo, I'm enjoying in expanding my castle and making it look pretty without being scared for it to get destroyed, or if I go for a little break it won't disappear because it decayed :)
