well the thing is, whenever i try to put a border on the slope, nxt to the slope or right under the slope, it says it cannot be done
If your character cannot walk up it already, you cannot build stairs there. Stairs act as a replacer, not a new path.
Perhaps someday we'll achieve that most basic of construction techniques: mutli-level construction. But until then, you will live crawling on the ground like an insect and you will like it!
so what if im on a hill that has stairs down to nxt section and i kinda wanna combine the 2 sections together? , thats the main thing, i wanna add the lower level to my upper level, or else im stranded on top with a small base that cannot be expanded downward
Also as others said make sure it is already a path slope and not just a random dip down a hill. On the map you can see gap pathings Those are mainly gonna be the slopes that you can put stairs on.
