Servant missions too long
If servant missions take 24+ hours of real world time, then on private servers they almost will never finish.

If this is true there really is no point in anyone playing on private servers from proceeding with the game. Too bad.

Yeah, Servant Hunts track even offline in private world games. I play solo PVE, so I give myself more Servants than typical to make up for not having a farming buddy. Every 2 hours I get my minions returning with goodies, even if I wasn't around when they returned.

The only downside is you might waste an extra hour with some of them due to injury chances raising. I kind of wish injury was affected by minion gear score. I don't see why a 800+ Shadowmoon wearing minion even COULD get injured in Farbane or Dunley...

Overall, it would be worth considering balancing missions with respect to time and reward amount.

It is though? You get way more from a longer Hunt than you do a shorter one. But shorter is better if you have long stints of time to play consistently. There's even a setting for servers that boosts Servant Mission yield.

But you have several missions that are not worth sending servants on at all. It's quicker and you'll get much more material on your own.

Setting for the 2hrs while you play just adds to what you can farm in that time frame. think of it as supplemental income. especially if you don't have the raids spawning very frequently you can boost your Stygian farming by quite a bit, as well as other resources.

Just came to ask if servant mission timers are attached to the server or irl time and kinda disappointed

Because gonna be real 2 hours in server is a silly slog nevermind 24 hours because at my current progress I'm gonna be done in 24 hours in game the mats I've got the sevents after right are barely going to matter at that point.

Mind you it is not WHILE you are playing.. it is real time no matter if you are on or not.

you could also just sent them out on shorter missions.. you can double the loot they gather in the settings and just send them out for 8 hours at a time.

They absolutely are not balanced.

Lets break it down:
Im doing this with dunley servant so 20% bonus in dunley and I have the servant hunt reward maxed on server setting. Im doing it at Quartz Quarry. Here are my options.

2 hour hunt: 25% chance of injury.
959-1173 Quarts
30-37 Glass
-General area loot-
479.5-586.5 Quartz per hour
15-17 Glass per hour

4 hour hunt: 25% chance of injury.
1439-1759 Quarts
46-56 Glass
-General area loot-
359-439 Quartz per hour
11-14 Glass per hour

8 hour hunt: 20% chance of injury.
1919-2346 Quarts
61-75 Glass
-General area loot-
239-293 Quartz per hour
7-10 Glass per hour

16 hour hunt: 15% chance of injury.
2399-2932 Quarts
76-93 Glass
-General area loot-
149-183 Quartz per hour
4-5 Glass per hour

23 hour hunt: 15% chance of injury.
2879-3519 Quarts
92-112 Glass
-General area loot-
125-153 Quartz per hour
4-5 Glass per hour

To recap-
1. even WITH the bonus 20% active, you are still losing astronomical more the higher up you go in time on the hunts.
2. Even with the chance of injury and recovering time, the shorter hunts will make up for and surpass the larger hunts.
3. The ONLY reason you should ever use a higher time hunt is when you are not going to be playing. The is no reason otherwise to use higher time hunts because of how tremendously inefficient they are.
4. The hunt timer does not respect your time at all and is awful. There should 100% be a way to reduce the time in settings to make this not as terrible.
5. While playing, always use 2 hours. maybe 4 hours but meh. While not playing, send them on a mission scaling with when you can send them again, if you care about it that much. Like during work days, I use 23 hours cause that's how long it takes to get back on the game

Yeah, it's pretty obvious that shorter hunts will net greater rewards over the same length of time.
I don't see what you're getting at with any of this.
Hell, you hit upon the entire reason for that system in your last point. Set it for 23h, log in the next day at the same time, hey presto, everything is done with maximum reward. The only stupid part is that the injury chance of 15% is annoyingly high, and often leads to 30-60min injuries that kinda defeat the point of the 23h system.

Just a clarification. Im looking at the server settings in game right now.

You CAN adjust the "server time zone" to: Local System Time (your pc time) or one of 5 different world time zones (UTC, PST, EST, CET, and CST)

Time also still goes even when the server or your game is not on. I had sent my 2 servants on the 23 hour thing yesterday morning, and I started my game just now to see them back in the base from the mission

oh thank god just got servants on missions yesterday so it was a legitimate concern
