If they deliver singleplayer offline I would say modding community will make some mods, given they have been quite successful (500k sales) there might be room for it.
I would say mods would prolong the longevity and increase replay-ability but lets see if the devs have the vision to see and implement that.

Time zones and work are a thing. Copies sold doesn't equate to that number being online all the time.

Same logic. Copies sold never lines up to active players, and even then not everyone is playing on public/dedicated servers.

There is potential for mods cause this game is very very similar to conan exiles in certain mechanics... and that game has mods too.

I'd like to see RPG mods for more character development and stats beyond what you get from gear now. Give me XPfor killing those humans and let me spend that to determine how my character grows.
