How to Plant Seeds?

Everywhere I go it says "Outside your Territory", if I'm inside, it says this, if I'm outside, it says this... This is how my castle looks like, I built it in an area that enemies can't access. First I try to open a dirt space inside the castle, that's why you can see the floor borders in the outside, but it said "Outside your Territory", so I did what you can see in the SS, I opened the castle, AND YET IT SAID "Outside your Territory", how the hell do we plant stuff?

Expand your border but don't put any floor/path down. Seeds are planted in grass.

in order to plant seeds you have to equip them to your hotbar, and then use the hotkey.
This is something they should probably put a tooltip in on, IMO. Also, i don't think you can plant them on flooring that isn't the garden flooring. I don't know if you can just plant them on normal ground inside your territory

It might have to be on specific grass tiles you put down, not sure. I think normal ground works but don't hold me to it.

Like they said, put seed on your hotbar, select and place on your tiles. Must be a default ground tile or Grass tile you placed. Will not go on any wooden or stone flooring.

If you put down stone tile, you will need to delete that tile or unlock grass tile and replace it. You can delete the tile by removing any attached walls/pillars then expand back into that spot again afterwards.

It just needs to be within a border, that you haven't put floor on. So a border tile outside of your castle.

you have to kill a boss to get the grass tile to plant seeds

It might have to be on specific grass tiles you put down, not sure. I think normal ground works but don't hold me to it.

if you are talking about the grass tile from faywalker (the one with healing pet) then no, i was able to plant stuff way before killing her.
i didn't remember changing any setting related to that so it should be default.

No, needs to be tiles you own. But if you put down floors (workshop, castle, cobblestone, etc) you can't plant there. The natural dirt and grass or the Grass Tile you unlock from Polora the Feywalker will both allow you to plant on them.

After killing Polora the Feywalker she'll teach you GARDEN FLOORS, which allow you to plant seeds, it doesn't matter if you are placing this floor inside or outside your castle, once you place it, that tile will be defined as outside, even if it's around castle walls. You can plant seeds on that specific tile. To use it, you must go to Exterior, then Borders & Stairs, it will be there, with the name Grass in it.

You can plant on your border tiles too if it's the natural dirt still and you didn't put a floor over it. So you dont need to get Polora to plant, but the Grass tile does look a lot nicer
