If you're high enough level, you can bypass farming the hearts and craft the greater blood essences yourself. Happy hunting!
They drop with a low % on humans enemies.
Otherwise you get 1 on every boss - bosses you can kill multiple times.
You know what to do.
Later on, there's also a recipe to craft them.
I'll look for them.
I'm at the maximum level can have at the moment. I don't think I ready for that guy. Last time I've hit him, I didn't see his life bar move at all.
I guess there I'll be a drop in the wolf boss population. :)
I do feel like that the tier 3 castle upgrade and the throne gives people the impression that they need to grind a bunch of unsullied hearts, because you get those recipes so early. However, you'll need to be level 44 before you can even build the other materials for those things anyway, so its kind of misleading.
this is false. It's not a guaranteed drop on the bosses you can track. I've killed 6 of them and gotten 1.
up your spell damage with a ring to kite him. i solod him at lvl 39 GS always be moving so he doesn't hit you.
So, cheese a later game solution in order to bypass a poorly balanced, badly thought out early RNG based option as OP described?
I'm with OP.
This game is in early access, he's allowed his feedback. EA is not about "finding ways around bad gameply elements" it's about solving them.
dont see how what i did to kill an in game boss as cheesing at all... learn the boss mechanics, and outsmart them... no cheesing at all...
are you suggesting that they remove the incentive to kill Tristan the vampire slayer cos hearts dont drop from easier mobs?
It's an EA game, the devs clearly didn't think of a way to allow the boss to counter someone who stands back and never gets near him.
I'm not suggesting they remove the incentive to kill him, but if all you have to do is range him to death because he can't hit you at range, he clearly wasn't playtested, and you're just kind of abusing an early access pitfall, because by design he was not meant to be fought that early.
He has a leap attack, a crossbow, and a bomb toss that leaves a bunch of AoE fire patches. It's not as mindless as he made it sound.
