Third Party AntiCheat? Or DRM?
So I found this....

5. CONSENT TO ANTI-CHEAT MONITORING
If the Game detects the use of an unauthorized third party program, your access to official Stunlock servers for V Rising may be terminated with or without additional notice to you.

...how does the developer/publisher conduct such monitoring?

Anyone look through the install files?

Also any blatantly obvious DRM or anticheat? Thanks in advance.

Can anyone help me please?

I think it would be best if you ask in the official discord, I don't think anyone from the team looks at the steam forums

Yeah, here's a tip, stop being a cheater.

The only people who care about a sign that says, "No thieves allowed" are thieves.

Exposed yourself.

Sounds like you have had a fair bit of run in issues as a cheater in past games / accounts. If you are that worried about getting caught, simply do not play this game.

No legit player is going to be pushing this agenda like you are.

A lot of services will not tell you how they detect such programs on your computer to prevent making it easier to bypass their detection and that even includes steam itself on vac protected games.

Seems odd to be so antsy about anti-cheat software. Numerous games have it and a good job too. Who cares who monitors it as long as it works.

While I see your guys point here and I hate cheaters just as much as the next guy, I suspect the OP is more concerned with what impact it'll have on his system overall. Can't really blame him considering what Valorants anti-cheat does, causing bluescreens and running at kernel level and always running in the background. With that being said I've yet to run into a cheater in V Rising so far and my system seems stable and I don't see any mysterious processes running in the background. I'm no professional at this stuff though so I'm not sure what form of anti-cheat they use.

When it is on OS kernel level. It is highly invasive and dangerous.

because the server is small (50people), I think we could be free of automated anti-cheat system and use human monitoring instead (server admin could ban reported cheaters)

Why? Just play the game.

pretty sure the game server checks your progress occasionally. nothing client side afaik. If you want to use console commands or a trainer for "creative mode" style testing and whatnot do it on a solo private server. You should be fine. Just don't use trainers and stuff in an official Stunlock hosted server.

Pretty much this.

I want to know more the kind it uses....

Also to the other people.... if I was to be writing scripts for this, I would have to download the game to look through the install files....so it would negate my initial point.

So is it just a server based DRM? Or is it installing or running checks on the client side?

So everything is server side? Nothing you see on your end locally? Appreciate the response if you could confirm, thanks.

Server based anti cheat, if you play the game solo or in coop, you can do whatever you want.

Play in a dedicated server and there's a anti cheat that can royally ♥♥♥♥ you up from playing it online with anti cheat protected servers.
