Not accurate. There is the Dunley Monastery, which has the games "religious symbol". You can see it glowing and when you enter you start taking damage from holy radiation.
Not to mention the word itself, holy.... its religious lol.
No wait, hold on people. They actually have a point here.
To be honest, after a couple hours I stopped even really paying attention to the sun. Just walking down the road normally will generally keep you in the shadows enough that you don't ever start taking damage.
The only problem that really can happen is if you get caught in a boss fight when the sun comes up. That can be pretty dangerous. I got caught fighting the wyvern soul shard boss in the sun, and after it wiped out almost every tree and stone in its area I was forced to hide in the shadow of its wings to avoid sun damage, and even then halfway died to it.
There are several places where the sun will never reach that are safe (aside from PvP) in early game for you to AFK. Running out of blood would be the real anti-afk mechanic and both can be countered solidly by just building and resting in a coffin.
sure you can take or change them and make your own spin to it. but don't expect people to easily recognize them as the original mythical creature they are supposed to be. especially if you take out such recognizable traits like that.
imagine a medusa, but instead of turning you into stone, she made you ♥♥♥♥ your pants. and instead of snakes for hair, they got porcupines. would people then still know that they are still supposed to be medusa?
Not really. They have rules in this game, they have been decided, and the game has been built around them.
It's up to OP to find a game that he enjoys, it's not up to the devs to cater one to him.
