Admin "Give" Command

I have a hosted server on Gportal and there was an issue where the server restarted but the last save was like 2 hours prior and people lost a bunch of stuff.

I cant get the give command to work to try to give people back what they lost. Ive used adminauth to get me Superadmin, used it the same way ive seen it done in youtube videos and on other websites, but it doesnt add the items to my inventory.

Is there a setting I am missing somewhere?

From my experience with past GPortal servers, you had to put your Steam ID into the gportal server config, before you can actually give yourself admin in game. Otherwise, any player can just type in adminauth. When you put in your steam id, it allows the server to know you are the TRUE admin. I had to do this with Valheim as well as ARK.

Yeah I did that and other admin commands work just not the give command :(

first open the console and typ list
then type ADMINAUTH to enable admin.
then you can use the give command and the giveitem command.

yeah, thats not the issue. The issue is that the command itself doesn't work.

give <insert item name here> <insert number of items here> should work just fine

After the give command it should pop up with a select-able list so if i want planks, I start typing in plank and the item name chain comes up, if you hit space you will get the following.

give "[Name]Plank - Item_Ingredient_Plank - Guid: -1017402979"

After the end you place the number So:
give "[Name]Plank - Item_Ingredient_Plank - Guid: -1017402979" 200

Guys lol. The issue isnt with how its being typed in. I am 100 percent sure of how to use it, the issue is with it actually working on hosted servers. Apparently its an issue the devs are aware of per the discord from what I just found out. But the actual command, when imput properly, does not grant the items on our hosted server.

Yeah I'm having the same issue. But it's weird. Sometimes it works (5% of the time), sometimes it doesn't (95% of the time). Relogging seems to gimme some RNJesus action as to whether my give admin commands will work.

I literally just posted this exact some issue as well. I am (sorta) glad to see that is not just me. I am experiencing this same issue. I admin my own g-portal server for my group - default pve with a few tweaks. Console is enabled on my client and I added my steam ID to the admin list. Likewise I have ran the adminauth command and have verified that I am a SuperAdmin while in game. All console commands from the list appear to work just fine except the give commands.
